Part 2: Traveling to Historic Places in Agra, India | WandererOnWheels Adventures Episode 5

This is a continuation of my Previous Post.

Please go through it before reading this post! Thanks.

View of the Taj from one of those twin buildings I had mentioned on my previous post.

Captured some pictures here and then we headed to see the Yamuna River.

We made a new friend there!

Meet Kapi.

Kapi turned out to be an asshole though! :P

He stole one of those shoe covers from my mom and ruined it.

What cover you ask? Have a look at her feet.

You can either walk barefoot when you are entering Taj Mahal or you need to wear one of these.

They sell these for Rs. 20 ($ 0.3).

One of the beautifully sculpted doorways at the base of Taj Mahal.

There were many of these!

One of the four pillars.

The floor. It's gotten yellow and dirty over the years.

Not to worry! Repair and Restoration is in progess.

That's how huge a pillar is.

Since I didn't click any pictures inside, this picture from flickr will give you an idea of how it exactly looks.

It's a small area and gets clogged easily.

Hence they don't allow the public to stay there for a long time.

We headed to the Agra Fort after seeing the Taj Mahal.

Fort entrance.

Some monuments inside the fort.

Akbari Mahal

A view of the Taj Mahal from Agra Fort. There's a lot of story behind this.

Ladies Bazaar: The ladies of the kingdom used to do shopping here.

By then, we were tired.

We took a ride on a horse cart back to the Railway Station.

We got to experience the transportation system of the old timers.

We also got to see an old army tank, kept for display on the way!

It was an experience of a lifetime!

Hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it! :D

Pictures were clicked on my Motorola G4+
