RUNAWAY RHYMES WEEK 9: Pause for the Cause
What to do: Write a poem about a cause that is important to you.
EXAMPLE: HERE'S ONE I DID EARLIER!....
I wrote this when I was 10. Its so sad that its still an issue.
Elephants in Danger
Lots of elephants are killed each year
And their extinction is critically near.
The elephants have to be saved.
Together we must stop the ivory trade
Another threat faces this noble beast
Losing the food on which they feast
This happens when man farms the land
Where elephants live, roam and command.
Will the poachers still kill these animals
Before their population even further falls?
If we don't act soon, with the help of drought
These mighty creatures will soon die out.
