Community Casino Poker Week 1
In our first round (hand) of Community Poker we started off with a bang as @nicholaspang, @steeminator300, @devrajlove and @fivefiveeleven all hit trip sixes on the flop. The turn came and a King gave @nicholaspang the lead but @steeminator300 didn’t give up hope. He sat tight and hoped for that Ace to come on the river. But of course not, the Turkish gangsta didn’t get his Ace and @nicholaspang held out to win the first ever Community Poker Contest. He took home a cool 20 SBD for just commenting and upvoting a couple posts. See his victory post Here.
Community Casino Poker Week 2
Week two started off pretty epic as well. With a pair of fours and an Ace on the flop @nicholaspang flopped a boat. Fours full of Aces. With the turn came the 6 and not much competition for him. The river was a different story. A long interesting one at that. The Queen of spades dropped on the river and gave @kenny-crane a better boat, BUT he failed to call or upvote and hence had folded his hand. A couple other players hit boats but the next in line would have been @nicholaspang. He commented to call but failed to pay the pot (upvote). Mistakes were made by many but rules are rules. Thanks for being amazing sports @nicholaspang and @kenny-crane. So the champ for week two ended up being @costanza who has always been very supportive. Congratulation! He will be taking home 20 SBD here in a few days. He passed on the voiceshare tokens. Thanks again @voiceshares for sponsoring this contest.
Giving Back
Giving back is something that is very important to the Poker Today family (@chiefmappster, @bethalea, and I). We created Community Casino for this very reason. Our main end goal is to make a casino which gives back to the community. Giving back is our prerogative. I started a series about people/projects that are giving back.
