The 40th anniversary of Prague Metro line celebrated by retro rides

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, on Sunday, August 12, it was exactly 40 years since the Prague Metro Line A was put into operation and the city´s Public Transport Department decided to celebrate this important anniversary by offering the passengers retro rides in original trains that were used those 40 years ago.

Passengers (and history fans) had a unique chance to enjoy a ride in trains from the legendary Soviet series 81-71 that were fueled by coal. The vintage ride served the section between the stops of Dejvicka and Skalka and the staff operating the trains were even dressed in then uniforms.
