There is a wonderful contest going on that can help you bag a @qurator membership. You just need to write about your favorite steemian. Find more details about it here.
This is my entry for the contest and today I'll be talking about my most favorite Steemian here and I am honestly really excited to talk about him.
My Favorite Steemian
I wish this inability wasn't there and we were all more accepting of the different differences and uniqueness all of us have, but sadly this isn't true. This is exactly what divides us and brings up different conflicts. And this inability is precisely what kept me from fully being happy with my husband and loved ones because I was once a person that could not celebrate differences in people really well. About 7 months ago, my life wasn't as calm and serene emotionally as it is now. At that time, I wasn't as accepting of people, their beliefs and ideologies as I am now.
When I found out that I lacked acceptance to be happy and more in control of my life, I started nurturing it. It was at that time that I had joined Steemit too and came across the blog of @lightsplasher one day. This is his first post that i came across and man, did I fall in love with his thought process or what!! I loved how accepting and nonjudgmental he was of different things and how mindful he was of the different things that happened around him. I just loved his work and it was then that I decided to visit his blog frequently.
As I came across more of his work, especially his regular journal entries and his oh-so-lovely conversations with his dog like this one here, I became more drawn to his work. The way he sees things, the way he interprets them and the way he is always open to different ideologies is amazing. Also, I am extremely impressed by his extensive knowledge on different topics. Be it the crypto world, trading, meditation, mindfulness or the current affairs- this man has quite a thorough understanding of everything.
Over the course of my 6 months on Steemit, his amazing posts have helped me get rid of the many stubborn and unhealthy beliefs I nurtured and nurture self-acceptance as well as acceptance for others a lot. I am so impressed by his ability to see beauty in everything. Whether it is a frog, a rabbit, a leaf or even a puddle- this man seems to find out something impressive about everything he comes across and I believe this is majorly because he has learned to be mindful of himself, the present moment and everything around him. Mindfulness is the ability to experience each moment peacefully and non-judgmentally so you see things for what they are without attaching undue meaning and judgments to them and @lightsplasher is always accepting of whatever he experiences and finds, at least that's what I have observed in these 6 months.
Not only is his accepting attitude towards things extremely inspiring, but his take on spirituality is equally inspirational too. Spirituality is a topic a lot of feel scared of digging deeper into, but this man explained it so beautifully in this post and this made me fall more in love with his work.
Another thing that I really appreciate about him is his level of gratitude. He is always grateful for the many little to big things he is blessed with. From getting apples by a neighbor to getting ripe fruit this season to seeing a beautiful view- he is just thankful for everything and this attitude helped me become more grateful for my life too. Also, this brilliant man is always supportive of people especially newbie Steemians and gives them generous upvotes and guidance to help them learn better and grow here.
Sadly, I don't have a photograph of him, but since he is an amazing photographer, I'd like to share some of his work here.
@lightsplasher is by far one of my most favorite Steemians in the community. Yes, there are a lot more Steemians here whom I absolutely adore, but I felt I just had to talk about @lightsplasher in this post because he has changed my life and my perception towards things in such an amazing way. Even if I don't get the membership, I will be grateful to @mountainjewel for organizing this contest because it gave me the push I needed to openly talk about my feelings about @lightsplasher. I have been meaning to do this since some time, but sometimes I just need a push to do things. I wish you all the happiness, good health and all things you really want in life @lightsplasher. So much love and light for you.
What did you think of this piece? If you have had an interaction with @lightsplasher, how did you find them? Also, who is your favorite Steemian here? Would love to hear your views on the topic. Till next time,
Love and light,
Sharoon.
I am a part of the brilliant @ecotrain which is one of the nicest place to be on Steemit.
