Use “Steem-Buddy” to find like-minded Steemit users

I found out about Steem-Buddy the other day. I sure am happy that I did, I decided it was a must to share with everyone. Steemit is already a great place to find like-minded people, in fact I have already made some solid friendships with people I may have never otherwise came in contact with.
One complaint I have is the basic search function and overpopulated tags on Steemit. It takes some serious effort to find exactly what you are looking for, however it is still possible. That’s exactly what I was doing before hand, searching for things I’m interested in and digging through post after post, hoping that the one’s that I commented on were still active users.

The process is now much easier for me thanks to Steem-Buddy. This simple DApp created by @tarekadam allows you to find a large list of people who are interested in whatever it is you are searching for.

The steps are simple, you just type in your interest and the search is on. In my above example I used the word “basketball”. Then a list of people who have that word in their bio on their profile came up. It even shows their location in the list if you are searching for locals. This made me think I probably need to make my bio more detailed, and include all of my interests that way people using Steem-Buddy can find me easily.

From there you can visit their profile and interact. Be sure to leave meaningful comments as to start up a real conversation. Not something like “Hey, nice pic”.
So far I’ve had several people respond to me. I will be using this DApp much more in the future to continue to meet new people and build a stronger following here on Steemit. I hope you too will take advantage of the ease of operation that Steem-Buddy brings to the table.
