How was our world created?

I was able to create this GIF with relative ease.
To some this may seem like an impossible task.

Was Earth created in the same way?
What about the rest of the cosmos?

Our galaxy alone is mostly unexplored to the average human being, and there are nearly an infinite amount of other galaxies all unique in their own way.

How do all of these galactic locations come into existence?

Is it a matter of it just happening on its own?
Or
Is their an ancient builder race we are unaware of?

All of these questions are only meant to cause you to think a little bit deeper. I would love to read your opinions in the comments below. Not just on my art, but also on the questions that I just launched into your mind.
