Vocalists, rappers, beatboxers, producers and musicians of any kind a new theme is ready to go for this week's Steemit Music League Challenge.
The SML Challenge was created to provide an additional avenue for the musicians of Steemit who are chasing their dreams to be highlighted and earn some additional recognition, feedback, and rewards.
As a result we also now have an awesome interactive Discord Channel for everyone to come together, interact, learn, from one another, and ask questions.
We also have SMA Radio where you can play music and listen to live DJing and jam sessions by Steemians such as @seveaux and @beatseb.

Here are the details of the Steemit Music League Challenge Week Nine:
This week's theme is:
Ancient Civilizations
Our world is built on many of the lessons learned by the ancient civilizations spanning from Mesopotamia, to the Incas & the Aztecs, to the Ancient Egyptians, and many more. This week's theme is homage to these incredible civilizations that helped form the civilizations we have today.
This leaves a lot of room for inspiration from the daily life and the sounds & vibes from these civilizations.
For example,
Vocalists and rappers can have a message about the times during these civilizations or how they inspired life today. Or whatever resonates with you from this Ancient Civilization theme.
Producers can create and/or sample the incredible sounds and music from these civilizations or however this theme resonates with them.
Much love and respect to these Ancient Civilizations who set the ground for the many generations to come. Let's see what the community can create in homage in these great Ancient Civilizations.

All you have to do is submit an original entry based off of the theme of the week using the tag #smlchallenge and/or comment the entry on any SML Challenge posts.
Any type of music passion from singing to producing and everything in between is welcome. We are looking forward to be able to help these Steemians in the music community shine and receive the recognition and feedback they deserve.
You have until Friday night, December 15th to submit your entries with winners will be announced Saturday, December 16th.
The entries will be judged off of the following:
- Sound Quality,
- Technicality,
- Creativity, and
- Relevance to theme
The prize pool is as follows:
FIRST PLACE WINNER: 18 STEEM + 42 Voiceshares for 60 points
SECOND PLACE WINNER: 9 STEEM + 36 Voiceshares for 45 points
THIRD PLACE WINNER: 5 STEEM + 31 Voiceshares for 36 points
FOURTH PLACE WINNER: 3 STEEM + 26 Voiceshares for 29 points
COMMUNITY FAVORITE: 5 STEEM + 21 Voiceshares for 26 points
The Community Favorite each week will be determined by the amount of upvotes and comments responding to their entries, upvotes on their submission comment, and total community support on post.
Week #9 of the Steemit Music League Challenge starts today and will accept submissions until December 15th with winners being announced Saturday (December 16th).
The team of @chiefmappster, @danyelk, @derekmiller, and @nutela are pumped to see what is in store for this week.
Don't forget it helps the judges and the community for you to make a post about your entry, with how you created it, the meaning behind it, how the theme came into play.
