With three (3) awesome entries in this round so far created by Steemians from all over the world, the Music of Africa theme is challenging the Steemians in this round of the #smlchallenge .
Here are the details of the Steemit Music League Challenge Season Two Round #9:
All you have to do is submit an original entry based off of the theme of the round using the tag #smlchallenge and/or comment the entry on any SML Challenge posts.
This week's theme is:
Music of Africa
Some of the most ancient and spiritual music is from the continent of Africa and still has major influence and inspiration in music worldwide.
It is filled with much diversity and characterized by highly rhythms music usually with a core rhythm and the inclusion of a variety of instruments.
Some instruments prevalent in African music are the djembes, drums, xylophones, and tone-producing instruments such as the mbira (as well as others seen in image below).
Anything from Afro funk, the hypnotic rhythms and "gritty guitars" of African Desert Blues, to Afro pop, to anything that includes those highly rhythmic influenced music. So many styles of African Music to be inspired by.
Rappers, musicians, and vocalists can create that uptempo African-influenced tracks from the genres mentioned above or however this theme resonates with you. Rappers there is that African rap genre that has become so popular across the continent
Producers can use those commonly found instruments in African music as inspiration and/or include those highly rhythmic flair.
However this Music of Africa theme resonates with you let's hear what creativity and inspiration you use to make this music that will having you upbeat and dancing.
