Steempowered Introduction
As a sndbox fellow, I have this special previlege (together with other members) given by @sndbox founders to nominate two promising steemians to set afoot their steemit journey in the @sndbox community and to help them integrate their impactful ideas and initiatives thru @sndbox empowerment.
Official Launch
- What is sndbox?. Sndbox is an incubator for powerful ideas that can bring shine to Steemit Inc. and as well as promoting individual creativity from @sndbox members. It teaches, develops and assists new users in the platform by giving valuable guides and information. New users are either a sndbox members or ordinary steemians. For me, @sndbox is known for being a big support for community builders and sub-communities. They are one of the best integrator in each community involved in the sndbox community. These communities are also known as sndcastles.
Follow @sndbox and know more about what they can offer! Samples are given:
- Master Toolkit - These are Sndbox Resources. Useful guides with important information inside created just for steemit and fot its users, new and old.
- Sndcastles - These are sndbox' communities aka sndcastles. Sndbox promotes and helps these sub-communities to grow. They also provide assitance to these communities' ideas at their respective jurisdiction. World Food Day from @steemph.cebu and Steemit Accelerator and Blogging Workshops from @myach are best example of these initiatives.
- Upvotes of the Week - This one caters sndbox members' great posts and write ups. This is a weekly activity... And many more!
Steempowered Nomination
As for myself, being in sndbox community for a month at most, is truly a productive run. I was able to uplift my translated guides for more visibility and manage my time a bit in curating posts thru our @bayanihan account. Also, I was able to gather some extra funds for our National Quizshow this coming November 21 with the support of sndbox' great minds. Furthermore, the biggest achievemet we had this month was the establishment of our sndcastle, the @steemph.cebu led by the core members namely @jassennessaj, @fernwehninja, @itinerantph, @queenjventurer, @mikekenlytungal, @rfece143, @purepinay and me.
So for my nominations for my first month in sndbox, I will be focusing on individuals with greater goals in life or better than being an ordinary steemian. I looked for community builders and that have the potential to run a steemit community in a wider and broader area. I looked for highly experienced steemians not because they were here already for about a year or for several months but because they know what is like to handle pressured things before they know steemit. These are the steemians that I considered best of bests in terms of promoting harmonious relationship and in helping other people, whether a steemian or not.
These are brief introduction from my nominees.
@dreamiely
Dreamiely, or Miel, has been on the platform May of this year. She writes about ICO's, some parenting stories, poetry, short stories, and guides for new PH steemians.
Having had a leadership role from a customer-service industry, she contributes to the platform by actively engaging and assisting new steemians. She also is one of the key persons in putting together the steemph core.
Dreamy is passionate about being able to help change lives for the better, and sees an opportunity in doing so by promoting steemit as a venue to showcase various talent and skillset of Filipino bloggers.
She plans to have @steemph for her sandcastle, with the vision of sndbox being able to help realize the steemph mission of community building and enriching lives both inside and outside the platform through charitable activities, promoting quality content, assisting new PH users and marketing steemit in the country. These ideals makes her a perfect fit for sndbox.
The gears have started rolling for the accomplishment of these, and I believe that Miel, steemph and sndbox can do this better- together.
@steemitph
@steemitph describes himself plainly in his blog as a BPO executive, investor, farmer, father, partner, and community leader. These are all very fitting description. He’s spent the last 14 years working in the BPO sector in Manila. Due to being a natural leader, he’s manage to rise from the rank and file level to junior manager, senior manager, and now junior executive position. He leads a team of over 1000 staff in one of the biggest BPO companies in Manila. He shares this aspect of his life to the Steemit community by writing about leadership principles and books in relation to his Steemit experience. Some of the most appreciated ones are: FiveElements of Effective Thinking & Steemit, and Good to Great & Steemit.
Three months in the platform @steemitph has already invested over $2000 in Steem. He is also trading and investing in the Phillippine Stock Exchange. Since being exposed to cryptocurrency through Steemit, he is now looking at cryptocurrency investing as well. Investing in Steem Power is motivated by a couple of things for @steemitph. He believes in the future of the Steem Blockchain, and he want to be able to support more fellow Steemians with upvotes. He plans to continuously invest in the platform both through valuable contents, and powering up on an on-going basis.
One advocacy he brings to the platform is food security and self-sufficiency. He posts step-by-step guides on growing vegetables amongst other posts that talks about why self-sufficiency and food security is everybody’s concern. As a father and a husband, he is sharing thoughts and practices on maintaining a healthy relationship with family while balancing time between that many things he is doing.
@steemitph was recently chosen to be the community leader for the Metro Manila arm of @steemph. He is maintaining the communal account @steemph.manila. In his short experience in Steemit, he has shown dedication to promoting Steemit through love and kindness. He once wrote a post he titled: STEEM is a Currency of LOVE. He believes in the power of Steem and Steemit to improve the lives of our many marginalized countrymen, and want to take an active role in making that happen. In an outreach event with special children, he spoke to the parents about how Steemit can help likely stay-at-home parents like themselves to have something productive to do while taking care of their children with special needs.
Consider a follow and a support for them. Their contribution will put a big mark on steemit. I promise!
