Part 1
- And what kind of sounds out there? - Alice asked.
- Oh, it's wonders - calmly explained the Cheshire Cat.
- And what are they doing there? - I asked the girl.
- As expected, - Cat yawned. - The case.
Steemit - a social network where everyone can get a reward. It looks like a wonderland, right? I do not suggest you take my word for it, just try it yourself to understand, and think about one thing - maybe there are miracles?;)
10 years ago, free video calls worldwide seemed a fantasy. "That's impossible!" - that's what I thought when I first heard about it. Today, millions of people are using Skype, a free video transmission between continents became something usual, and it's just a beginning.
Collectively, user-generated content has created billions of dollars worth of value for the shareholders of social media companies, such as Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter. The Steemit team has changed the incentive approach for recovery of profits in social networks, spreading it among all active users. You too can become a part of this process.
“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad."
"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”
Should we start?)
This step by step guide will help you understand how Steemit works - the first social network that pays money for likes, posts and comments. After reading the first part you will be able to publish the first post, and after the last one it is likely that you will believe in miracles and even in smiling and talking cats)))
If you have not looked at the site Steemit, then do it now. Visit Trending and Popular, pay attention to rewards of authors for their posts. Most of the people I showed it were a little bit surprised.
WTF? Is it real? Who does vote for this cool shit? And who pays for it? Wow! Yes, I, too, will begin to post smiling cats and row money with a shovel! Fire! Lets GO! Pull the trigger!
Calmly, start using Steemit is not more difficult than any social network, but let's start from the beginning. A little about Steemit in numbers.
Registration
To get started, you need to be registered. If you have not already, it's a perfect time to do so.
The user of Steemit has 4 main roles: Author, Curator (the person who is liking / voting for posts), Commentator and Investor. In this part we will briefly discuss each role, and in the following ones, we will return to this in more detailed way.
Curator
Vote and put likes - the simplest activity on Steam. In addition, 25% of the remuneration for the post is distributed among the people who vote for it.
For start it will be enough for you to have a few recommendations for the sake of voting:
- Do not vote a lot. Landmark of the vote is 20-50 per day. Frequent voting reduces the power of your voice, and, as a consequence, the size of your potential rewards;
- Vote for a good article that could potentially gain many votes;
- The earlier you vote, the greater will be your reward. First voted receive more than the last.
Commentator
Commenting on one of the most simple and effective ways to make money for a beginner. I've seen comments that gained more than $ 2,000 awards. For example, under this post several comments gained 100, 200 and more than $ 500.
On the right side of the screen you can see popular tags, use them to look into the topics in which you are an expert. When you are entering a debate, try to extend the theme by creating an additional value. Attentive readers will reward you for that with their votes. Section Active will help you to find the most commented posts at this moment.
Author
Anyone can try himself as an author on Steemit. You can publish any content - photos, videos, texts. Possible formats for blogging limited only by your imagination. Any format can be a potential hit.
The best idea to start with will be the publication of the post "IntroduceYourself". We decided so in our community. Tell about yourself and attach a couple of photos for the post. This guide will help you write a good "IntroduceYourself" post.

How to create a post
Immediately after registration you can publish your first post. Post editor is convenient, but in the beginning may need small hints. It is necessary to press the button "Submit a Story", which opens the editor.
To insert a video just copy the link from youtube. To insert a picture, upload it to any file sharing (such as this). And then paste in the text editor of the Steemit direct link to the picture. When published - he will replace it with an image.

The distribution of the rewards
Let me try to explain in a simple way - every day at Steemit has a budget that is allocated to all participants of the system. Steemit forms this budget , by printing its own cryptocurrency - STEEM. In the next section we will reveal in detail the whole mechanism: who and why need this cryptocurrency, and how real money appearing in the system. In the meantime, look at a simplified diagram that was created for you to illustrate the distribution of the remuneration mechanism.
*Daily budget is calculated based on the value of the STEEM in the $ 3.20 to 07.26.16
Investor
Early investors of the Steemit had already increased their capital by more than 20 times. But do not hurry. Before investing, we recommend that you find out what's inside the Steemit. Details about this will be discussed in the next section and then you can make an informed decision.
What's next?
Any adventure should start with something ... corny, but even here it's true ...
In the next section you will learn how the mechanism of the Steemit is designed: how and why it works, what is the power of Steemit, Steemit and Steemit dollars, who gets them and for what, and why it is better to be a Whale than plankton.
Then we will talk about how rewards are distributed between authors and curators. Wewill tell you how to vote more effectively for posts and comments.
In the fourth part we will see exactly the topic of writing posts and give links to the recommendations of successful authors on Steemit.
After the fifth part you will attain the true power of the Jedi and will achive the knowledge of Zen ;)
