Trying to help darthnava's hospitalisation bills

This is a screenshot from rigaronib's post regarding darthnava's request for help for his surgery.

Compared to the NHS in the UK, healthcare in the Philippines is not free.

I can only base it from my mom's recent hospitalisation bills. The most expensive are the medicines, a patient needs to pay all to the last tablet. Public hospitals will even give prescriptions to be bought directly from the pharmacy...and only then will a patient receive it. For private hospitals, patients will just pay on discharge.

Next is the doctors' professional fees. Some give discounts, but all combined, it can be a lot of money.

In the Philippines we have a saying, "bawal ang magkasakit" meaning, TO GET SICK IS FORBIDDEN. If you have no money, you die.

Darthnava was told of needing at least 200, 000 pesos for his bills. More often, it is more than the said amount. Staying in ICU is expensive too. And this is something that's unpredictable. A friend's nephew who has had a surgery paid more than a million pesos in total though am not sure how long was he in the hospital.

I just hope that darthnava's surgery will go well and he will have a quick recovery.

Anything that this post will earn will be sent to his account. Any upvote or re-steem is appreciated. I will attach links if you guys have not read his post or @rigaronib's request for help.
