My advice to new Steemians are:
- Quality over Quantity: You can make hundreds of posts with low-quality material and will just get pennies. But with one really good quality post you can get dollars. And if you are lucky you will be discovered by those who dedicate their time to find good quality materials on Steemit. Like @ocd, then you will get tens of dollars and maybe more, depending on your material.
- Authentic materials: keep on posting authentic and genuine materials because if you don't your reputation will be low and your posts will get hidden and you will have no exposure even if you have many followers.
- Adding some pictures to your post is a plus. You can check my old post:

- Keep on posting what you really love: this is the golden rule, because when you post what you really love you will have a lot to say about it. And that what really matters here on Steemit.
- Followers vs Good material: You have to understand that both followers and good materials go hand in hand to accomplish success and you must not prioritize one over the other.
- Pay-per-vote vs PROMOTE: You can use both systems, but keep in mind that the real promotion for your work is its quality. I've seen some depending on these systems only, which has led them to always produce low-quality materials. So keep thriving for more authentic and good-material posts.
- Business or Pleasure: Steemit is unique because it mixes business with, pleasure. This means that when posting about what you love (pleasure) you will gain some money (business). So treat this platform with the seriousness it deserves:
1- Work hard to post the material the way it should be presented.
2- Never misunderstand this platform, and see it a place to get rich with the minimum effort.
3- Upvote (appreciate) only the materials that you believe is really good and deserve it.
- To keep track of your time and schedule your work on Steemit. I suggest using a chrome extension, I personally like and use, called countDown.
I hope that I could be of help to you all. And thank you for following me.
