How are you Steemians .In this post I want to assist minnows, newbies and other learners on how to style their blog posts.
By Styling I mean writing your blog posts in BOLD STYLE , ITALICS STYLE and the STRIKETHROUGH.
I hope I will be able to show you how to do this in less than 5 minutes.
You may comment below to see if you have mastered these simple concepts. I hope you will find these useful.
i. How to Bolden your text
First and foremost we bolden text to make it unique and at times to get the reader's attention to focus on whats important.There are many other reasons to bolden text.
So lets start: Lets say you want to write ''I love Steemit'' in bold style this is what you will have to do.
**I love Steemit** becomes I love Steemit
**I will upvote and resteem this post now** becomes I will upvote and resteem this post now
In conclusion to bolden your text you need to put 2 astericks(**) at both the right and left sides of your **chosen word(s)**.
TRY THIS AT THE COMMENTS SECTION
ii. How to Italicize your text
Most writers use Italics to highlight text they want special attention on.Some use it when quoting someone. And like BOLD its uses are many
So here is how we style text to italics
*I will upvote and resteem this post now* becomes I will upvote and resteem this post now
In summation to italicize your text you need to put 1 asterick(*) at both the right and left sides of your *chosen word(s)*.
TRY THIS AT THE COMMENT SECTION
iii. How to BOLD and ITALICIZE your text
I don't know why you would like to use this but many writers use it. Its a great way to enhance your posts.
Like Italics(which uses 1 asterisk { * } ) and Bold( which uses 2 asterisks{ ** } ) this uses asterisks as well but now they are 3.
So here is an example:
***I will upvote and resteem this post now*** becomes I will upvote and resteem this post now
To sum up, to italicize and bold your text you need to put 3 astericks(***) at both the right and left sides of your ***chosen word(s)***.
iv. How to Strikethrough your text
So why would you want to strike your post? Thats up to you. Some would do it to get their readers attention ABOUT PRIZE CHANGES. I am sure its a common feature at Amazon.com and Ebay when they show you the former prize and the present prize
For example as you can see in the picture below.
So here is how you strikethrough text
Put 2 of this( ~ ) on the right and left of the text you want to strike-through ~~like this~~
For example: ~~I will upvote and resteem this post now~~ becomes I will upvote and resteem this post now
