Is anyone else so excited by Steemit that you want to tell all your friends about it? I told my friend @jesskneale about it and now she is here (so go say hi to her!!). I also told my mum about it last night (haha, anyone else told their mum yet?) and even my dog wants a Steemit account now! 🐶
On that note, in talking to my friend @jesskneale, I have been reminded of how genuinely confusing it is to set up a Steemit account and know how to create your posts. So I wanted to put together a little guide on how to create the best quality post possible when you first join Steemit.
1. Be Yourself: Everyone is different. Tell us about who you are: What made you join Steemit? What do you want to do here? What makes you happy? 🙋
2. Use Pictures: 🌈 Posts with pictures always more appealing (to me at least) than posts that are just text. If you are writing an IntroduceYourself, definitely include a picture of yourself. I use imgur to add the links for my images, however you can also use others like imgsafe.org. If you need a step by step on how to add this is a great post by @billbutler
If you are writing a post about a different topic, it always looks nice when people include a stock photo for an eye-catching thumbnail. You can get stock photos from a wesbite like www.pexels.com
3. Format The Text: ❗ By centering images and text, using bolds, italics, making text larger and presently your links attractively. For a comprehensive guide of formatting in markdown check out this post by @cryptofiend on Markdown for Beginners
4. Use Emojis: Not important for everyone - but I 💕 love 💕 communicating through Emoji's, here is the list that I use, created by @blueorgy
5. Tag Smarter: Steemit is great because you can post about whatever you like. Be mindful that what you tag will impact who sees your post. 🎯

6. Reply to Comments: I love checking back on the comments after I posted to see who is commenting and what they are saying 🌍
Writing your posts should be fun, and it should be something that you look forward to sharing. Get in Steemitchat once you've made a post so you can share it! You can meet some fun people in chat and make new Steemian friends
Happy Steeming! Love hearing from you guys in the comments. Say hi to my friend @jesskneale and welcome her to Steemit, and if you are new like Jess (and myself) and have any questions, please reach out to me! 😄 If you like my post, please follow, upvote and resteem! 😍
