Credit your Images - A Guide for new Users

My mission here is to help you learn how to cite your images like a pro

As I was wandering in the steemit wilderness, I saw many articles from various users without included sources of images. Did you know that when we post a picture that isn't ours without image source, we commit plagiarism? Plagiarism can get us flagged and other sorts of bad things.

I will show you step by step how to properly cite this image:

Steemit logo

The default code for this picture is:

![Steemit logo](https://blog.spectrocoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/steem.jpg)

If you want to link your text to an URL you need to write following:

[text](URL)

In text section, we can write "Image source" or any other words that make sense. In URL you need to put the link of your picture. That link, in this case, will be:

https://blog.spectrocoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/steem.jpg

This is how final form should look:

![Steemit logo](https://blog.spectrocoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/steem.jpg)

Afterwards you can add center command to centre your picture and text

![Steemit logo](https://blog.spectrocoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/steem.jpg)

After that, decrease font of "image source" text by using command sub

![Steemit logo.jpg](https://blog.spectrocoin.com/2017/03/steem.jpg)

Did you notice any difference now?
