Why the relaunch?
The previous model had some scaling issues that made it hard to keep fair in the long term.
The new system could be a bit confusing but bear with me:
The system will now be user sensitive: Meaning only 30 members for now.
Users must have a Steemvoter account (or other upvote bot) or be willing to manually upvote the post daily.
Minimum requirements are still = 500SP+ and a rep of 50+.
@make-a-whale can only upvote you once a day (with a bonus 100% rotational vote).
@make-a-whale still reserves the right if you a spammy poster...
@make-a-whale is a project by Steemians for Steemians. Thus, we support users with good content and not spammy silly posts. We will not support spammers or users that are just here for a quick buck, we WILL review your account every now and then.
Let's get into the details.
Steemvoter Guide
What do you get by upvoting @make-a-whale?
But how does it all work?
The previous model had some scaling issues and also was not very fair toward users who had more SP than our baby whale. Hence, the scaling solution was born:
Since @make-a-whale will control the number of members in the group he can give larger upvotes.
With a 30 member cap @make-a-whale can upvote his members once a day with a $0.32+ upvote (current Steem price).
Since not everyone will post once a day some votes will be bigger, but never smaller. =)
As the account grows there will be more space for more members.
I want to say this again, voting for more than the minimum required will boost the whole project and all its member. Remember we will be leasing SP with SBD earned.
So the scaling is quite a bit of math and is worked out on the whales current Steem Power of around 10K. We will keep the SP above 10K at all time until our little whale can support himself, the more our little baby whale grows the more members we will include. For now we are keeping it at 30.
There are currently 30 slots available for the @make-a-whale project. 14 of these slots are already filled and all the previous members who believed in our project will get preference in joining (only those who meet the requirements).
