Steemit is my Saviour! My in& out, and then back into Crypto Story #422

We can all see that the crypto market has took a bad beating today. A few people in work were asking me what to do like i no whats gonna happen, lol. To me, it looks like the past week was a bounce and we are headed for a crypto bear market for a few months. This is just my guess and i do not use the word guess lightly. I had my game plan to get a certain number of certain coins and im still working on that. You might think great time to buy but when i pay for everything in Steem and steem has gone down with the rest of market, it's the same as before. Here's how i got in and out and back into crypto's and how i build a small portfolio from steemit.

Bought my first BTC in Aug 2013. I was almost 29 and thought it was time to start saving a small pension. BTC looked good to me, i am young so can take risks with investments and i bought up a total of 8 BTC's in the few months before mtGox went busto and lost all my BTC. After that, i lost faith and started to stack silver. I know i would have made alot more if i had continued to buy BTC but stacking silver has taught me some discipline's i can cash in on now with a crypto strategy. I have learnt to save more consistently and buy whether the price is high are low without a second thought are a care if i could get it cheaper tomorrow.

I was searching for alternative to youtube and came across Steemit. The idea seemed funky to me but i signed up and gave it a go. I invested around £320 to put into SP and went from there. The only other time i have deposited from the bank was to do a $2000 loan on bitconnect. I have withdrawn my money from both and im playing with house money now. I used half my bitconnect money to buy silver and the othe half to buy cryptos. On steemit, i built my account solidly for 6 months. I posted everyday, i used all my SBD for upvoting bots, tried curation never took a penny out until Nov 2017. We were getting a crazy 7 Steem for 1 SBD and then Steem mooned to almost $7+. My posts were making loads because i had built it up my account. Even when SBD was going from $1 to over $10, i was still spending most of mine on upvoting bots and getting really good returns because everyone else was converting into Steem for the great rates.

By the end of Nov i had built up a few hundred steem and it was time to get paid. I want on a spending spree of about 350 Steem in 2 days. But i get loadsa cool shit. First off paid 50 for Stax silver membership, then won a contest to have my membership upgraded to gold later that month. Then i bought some Litecoin, EOS, Neo, Dash, Tron, verge and fun tokens. I bought them all on Binance and withdrew them all on the same night to my desktops wallets. No chance after mtGox do coins stay on exchanges. Fool me once and you know the rest....

Dec was pretty much a repeat of Nov. I split my SBD earned from posts 50/50 with converting to Steem through blocktrades and using the other half for upvoting bots. I ended that month with around 270 Steem. The first 100 goes to Stax for gold membership and then the rest was used to get some Bitclave, Kucoins, more EOS and a single Neo for my staking wallet. I do have bits and pieces of other coins/tokens but under $50. I do not try to time my crypto buys, i buy at the end of the month whatever the price is. I get what i need and wait until the next month. Pretty much everything right now with the exception of Tron is losing money. Eos and Fun are almost break even but the rest are 25+% down. Good thing it only cost me the time to write about silver on steemit which i enjoy doing anyways.

Because i think the price of steem might drop off alittle more are go sideways, i am back into building account mode. I have plans to buy a few EOS and bitclave at this end of this month but only spending maybe $250-300. So starting March, i will be in full building account mode waiting for the next bull run to cash in. I will buy a little here and there but not like the past few months. I think i might try out the saving account in your steemit wallet for Steem. I really like having Stax gold membership and i worry if the SBD to Steem ratio goes very south and it could be hard to get the 100 Steem needed. The idea would be to add maybe 10-20 Steem a month into this saving's account as a safety net. I have lots of ideas and limited time. Steemit for me has turned from a good time waster fuck about into a something i view as a great pension pot builder. Even if Steemit fades away in a few years, we will see it coming and power down. I think the community will only grow so i have plans for Steemit. I gonna push myself and aim to have 2000 SP by Dec 31st 2018. 2500 would be even better and could delegate it all to Stax but that might to be not doable.

As for the crypto's i own now, im gonna grab my balls, squeeze tight and HODL while hoping i picked the right coins/tokens for the next bull rush to 1 trillion total market cap!
