At this exact point in time, the SBD value is lower than the Steem value. Does this mean we have to change your actions on SteemIt?
SBD Price Drops
It was only yesterday that I was discussing this scenario with someone in a comment section of a post.
For the first time since I've joined SteemIt, the price of SBD has dropped below the price of Steem.
SBD price has dropped by 6.27% and is currently trading for only $5.03, while Steem price has gone up 4.01%, currently trading at $5.28.
While there's not a huge difference between both yet, if this trend will persist, it is going to raise a lot of questions.
The Effect Of This Price Shift
Do we have to take this price shift into consideration when using for example the 50/50 or 100% option?
Does it influence the author and/or curation rewards?
And what about exchanging earned SBD to Steem in order to power up?
Is powering up at this point a good idea in the first place?
I'll be looking for an answer to these questions and any other question that may be related to this issue, and I'll get back to you later.
