What Would You Do With A 700SP Delegation?

A delegation of 700SP for a month comes with a lot of responsibility...

Generosity Rules

Let me start this post by congratulating @karensuestudios. Not only has she reached the milestone of 3500 followers, she’s also showing she’s a very generous person.

To celebrate her milestone, she’s giving away 5 delegations of no less than 700 SP.

If you want to join her contest all you need to do is write a post in which you tell her what you would do with the delegation.

So that’s exactly what I’m going to do in this post.

Newbieresteemday

Getting a delegation of 700 SP for an entire month is a huge deal. Such a delegation comes with a lot of responsibility, since you need to make sure you make the most out of it.

As a member of the #newbieresteemday initiative, my main concern here on SteemIt is helping newbies to succeed.

Me and my fellow members (@davemccoy, @mudcat36, @amariespeaks, @beeyou, @bashadow, @terminallyill, @themanwithnoname, just to name a few) are organizing loads of different events in which we try to help newcomers to get started.

We have games and contests, newbie resteemdays, ‘member of the week’-elections and a lot more.

Part of my delegation would be used to support newcomers with a bigger upvote (at the moment my 100% upvote is worth only $0.11).

Paying It Forward

Since I’m blessed with 600 SP already, the biggest part of the delegation would be used to delegate to others.

I’m thinking about setting up a contest for newbies, with a small delegation as a prize. Since so many newcomers are struggling with bandwidth issues because of their lack of SP, a delegation could help them to grow and get them out of that ‘bandwidth-problem’ zone.

Without any doubt, part of the delegation would be delegated to @friendsofgondor.

@friendsofgondor is a new initiative that is set up to support @fulltimegeek and his former Stewards Of Gonder in the terrible flagging war the whales are battling here on SteemIt.

The @friendsofgondor account gives people with small accounts the opportunity to help out the people that were already injured in this war, without risking to get hurt themselves.

Or as @davemccoy states in the introduction post:

As a way to show support for @fulltimegeek, and those that have already been injured through his need to withdraw his delegations, I have set up a group account called @friendsofgondor. This account will be my way to give moral support to @fulltimegeek and the "Stewards of Gondor" members that lost their own power (and are supporting @fulltimegeek still).

This is a peaceful way to show support and will keep my followers far away from the frontlines. It will not hurt anyone to cast an upvote for a SOG member, so there will be no damage for showing your support in this way.

You can find out more about the @friendsofgondor initiative and get some background information in this post

I strongly believe that @friendsofgondor needs all the support it can get, so I would pay forward part of the delegation to the initiative.

The SteemIt Spirit

Of course it would be awesome if would win this delegation, so I will be able to give a little extra support to others. If I don’t, I truly hope that the winners will use their prize to pay forward the generosity @karensuestudios is showing.

Whether it is by me or someone else, a lot of people on SteemIt can use some support, and with a delegation of 700SP you have the ability to give those people that little extra push to make sure they can make it on their own.

To all future winners: please use your prize for the greater good, and give back to the amazing community we are lucky to be a part of.
