Macro Guía: Construyendo buenos artículos. Errores, impacto y comun...

Publicar sin revisar lo que has escrito, escribir tan rápido que las etiquetas se imprimen mal, escribir como se habla en tu país sin considerar generalidades, publicar imágenes sin fuentes, dar un mal uso a las etiquetas solo por ganar seguidores y párrafos muy largos sin títulos ni imágenes, son solo algunos de los errores que comúnmente veo.

Estas últimas semanas he tenido el honor de experimentar la curación. Aun soy un "pececillo" y continúo en constante aprendizaje. Me gusta ayudar y sentirme útil para con la comunidad. En mi corta experiencia de "curador", cosa que por ahora solo hago a petición, he podido notar algunos errores que se repiten una y otra vez en muchos perfiles. Ya sea porque estás empezando en Steemit o porque nunca has tenido que aprender a construir tu blog, se que estos puntos pueden ser muy útiles para ti.
Expresaré los errores, a manera de lograr concretar 2 puntos claves:

Notar la falla.
Saber cómo corregirla de la mejor manera.

El hecho de darte cuenta de donde estás fallando es la mitad del trabajo. La otra mitad, consiste en actuar para cambiar dicha falla. Quiero que cada uno se apoye en lo que mejor sabe hacer y en lo que tienen a disposición. Por favor, no me tomes como una persona que tiene todas las respuestas. A medida que voy aprendiendo en Steemit, estaré compartiendo. Eso, me parece lo mas sensato para dar verdadero valor a mis artículos y, por ende, a la comunidad.

Publicar sin verificar una y otra, y otra vez.

A menudo muchos errores de redacción o, de cualquier tipo, pueden ser evitados si leemos un par de veces nuestros artículos antes de la publicación. En un día común, debo leer mi artículo 2 o 3 veces antes de publicarlos. Ahora bien, si el artículo está en dos idiomas, multiplica esa cantidad de veces por 2. Siempre debes revisar con detenimiento lo que escribes. Por el hecho de que, literalmente estamos imprimiendo, "para siempre", nuestro material sobre la cadena de bloques de steem. Comparto ahora mis mejores prácticas a la hora de revisar:

Utiliza la vista previa del modo "Markdown" o "Raw HTML". . Puedes dejar la revisión como el paso final justo, antes de publicar.
Tu ojo debe ser crítico. No cumplas con revisar "solo por terminar esto". Imagina que tu artículo va a ser visto por millones de personas. Personas críticas, personas que no conoces. Debes leerlo como quien no tiene ni idea de lo que está escrito allí. En este punto cabe, entender que muchas personas son de diferentes países con diferentes vocabularios.
Si estás cansado o cansada, toma un break para respirar aire fresco, hablar un poco con otro ser humano cara a cara y luego, regresa a terminar lo que has empezado. No vale la pena que sin querer, arruines un gran contenido solo por no revisar con detenimiento.
A medida que hagas el hábito, será cada vez más fácil y rápido. Luego desarrollarás un ojo sagaz y entrenado.
Muy bien lo reza el dicho "El perezoso trabaja doble". Si corres a publicar, te puede suceder que debes editar y reparar errores una y otra vez.
Toma como ejemplo, artículos de otros autores. Puedes tomar como guía, las maneras de presentar el artículo.

Cómo impactar en Steemit.

Tenía dias pensando en este punto. Si estamos en una comunidad, que hacemos todos y cada uno de nosotros, podemos decidir impactar positiva o negativamente nuestros "entornos digitales". Si entrenas tu ojo, puedes ayudar, curar e impactar positivamente. A menudo veo un artículo con 3 o 4 errores graves y debajo, 10 o 15 comentarios que dicen:

Gracias, pienso como Tú...Ya te estoy siguiendo.

Un poco mas abajo, otra persona que solo coloca una carita feliz, seguida de una imagen graciosa. Y me parece muy bien que compartamos a esos niveles, pero, debemos entrenar nuestro ojo. Solo sabiendo como curar tus propios artículos, puedes impactar y ayudar a otros. Por eso os recomiendo algunas maneras de impactar en Steemit:

Cada vez que leas un artículo y encuentres errores, puedes dejar un comentario en base a eso. Eso puede ayudar a ese escritor a mejorar. De esta manera estamos limpiando y curando los malos hábitos. Se trata de mejorar como comunidad. A medida que una persona tiene mas reputación, es mayor el compromiso de saber hacer las cosas en Steemit.
Siempre puedes decir las cosas de la mejor manera posible e, incluso, preguntarle a esa persona si no le molestan algunos comentarios sobre su articulo.

Creo que todos podemos curar contenido, siempre que tengamos la oportunidad. Es por eso que pido la colaboración de todos y cada uno. Conmigo puedes contar al 100% para todo lo que pueda ser de utilidad.

Utilizar un editor de texto como Word o escribir directamente en el editor de Steemit

He aquí un gran dilema. Me decía mi amiga @zullyscott una tarde de Steemit:

Me gusta utilizar Word para editar, luego copio y pego el contenido en el editor de Steemit.

Allí nos podemos encontrar con un problema de caracteres. Y no me refiero a herir sentimientos ni diferencia de personalidades, sino, a un error de caracteres, letras y códigos entre párrafos. Has notado alguna vez que te aparecen caracteres raros como "&nsp" o letras sin sentido? Esto se debe a codificación de diferentes fuentes de escritura. Aunque te parezca un poco difícil al inicio, os recomiendo que utilicen el editor de Steemit directamente e instalen un corrector ortográfico en sus navegadores.
Si prefieres continuar utilizando Word te recomiendo lo siguiente:

Una vez corregido el texto dentro de Word o el editor que utilices, abres Block de Notas u otro editor de textos simples.
Copias el contenido de texto (sin imágenes) de Word y lo pegas en el editor simple, como el Block de Notas.
Copias desde el Block de Notas.
Pegar el contenido de texto, al editor de Steemit.

Con estos pasos tendrás el texto en caracteres simples con la codificación apropiada y sin errores. Claro está, debes rehacer los enlaces de imágenes y enlaces comunes uno por uno.

Etiquetas y más Etiquetas

A menudo veo algunas personas que sin querer, publican la etiqueta sapnish. Esa categoría no existe. Solo existe, por ahora, spanish. Así mismo, muchos escritores que escriben muy rápido pueden cometer esos errores. Ahora bien, si escribes erróneamente la primera etiqueta de tu artículo, quedará mal escrita para siempre. Siempre puedes reparar o modificar las etiquetas restantes pero la primera, quedará plasmada como sea que la hayas escrito al publicar.
Para las etiquetas mis recomendaciones son:

Chequea cada una de las etiquetas antes de colocarlas.
Copia las que mas utilizas, en un archivo de texto aparte. De esta manera solo será copiar y pegar.
Analiza de que trata tu artículo y, en base a eso, juega con las mejores opciones disponibles. Navega en las categorías de Steemit y elige las que mejor se adapten a tu artículo. Clic para ver las categorías.
No abuses de las etiquetas solo por querer ganar vistas o visitas. Utilizar el tag steemit, solo porque quieres recibir visitas en tu artículo de presentación, no está nada bien. Para utilizar steemit debes hablar de temas relacionados con la plataforma.
Por favor, aunque te veas tentado, no crees etiquetas nuevas solo porque crees que va con tu artículo. Crear una categoría nueva es algo reservado para quienes tienen el caudal de artículos o una reputación muy alta. Si vas a crear una etiqueta debes ser pionero en una categoría que será utilizada de manera masiva.

Agradar al lector sin perder las ideas

Al iniciar en Steemit, se quiere ganar tiempo para crear muchos artículos en un día. La calidad viene de crear un buen artículo, aunque te haya costado todo un día. Siempre cito el ejemplo notorio de la cuenta @teamsteem. Publica un artículo a la semana, o interdiario. Si lees alguno de sus artículos, entenderás cuantas horas le ha tomado construir ese material. Eso es crear buenos artículos.

Para artículos de producción en masa, dejemos a los chinos que día a día producen millones de cosas. Muchas de ellas baratas y sin sentido.

Signos de puntuación, párrafos bien definidos e ideas claras, con algunos de los puntos a considerar. Pensar un poco más en como plasmar una idea, puede ser la diferencia entre un buen artículo y un artículo medio bueno. Siempre que tengas varios puntos, puedes separar con títulos o frases llamativas que expliquen tus ideas de una mejor manera. Este es un hábito que apenas y estoy aprendiendo y, aun así, me atrevo a compartir contigo. Antes de finalizar, una imagen que "nada tiene que ver con mi artículo" pero, ayuda a relajar la vista. Te aconsejo la mires con detenimiento unos segundos.

Es probable que este artículo te haya parecido muy teórico. Es por eso que agradezco que lo hayas leído. La teoría es importante para luego pasar a la práctica. These past few weeks I have had the honor of experiencing curation. I am still a "minnow" and I am in constant learning. I like to help and feel myself useful to the community. In my short experience as "curator", which for now I do only by request, I have noticed some errors constantly repeated again and again in many profiles. Whether you're starting out in Steemit or because you've never had to learn how to build a blog before, I know these tips can be very useful for you.
I will let you know the common errors, but having in mind two key points:

I really want everyone to lean and improve on what they do best and what you have right now. Focus on what you have. Please do not take me as a person who has all the answers. As I learn at Steemit, I will be sharing all I know. That seems to me the most useful thing to do, in order to give true value to my articles and, therefore, to the community.

Posting without checking over and over...And over again.

Very often, many errors and mistakes, of any kind, can be avoided if we read our articles a couple of times before publishing. On an regular day, I should read my articles 2 or 3 times before posting them. Now, if the article is in two languages, multiply that amount of times by 2. You must, always, check very carefully what you write. The fact that we are literally printing, "forever", our material on steem blockchain.
My best practices while reviewing my articles are:

Use the "Markdown" or "Raw HTML" preview mode. You can leave the review as the final step just before posting.
Your "eye" must be critical. Do not comply with reviewing "just to finish this". Imagine that your article is going to be seen by millions of people. Critical thinking people, people you do not know. You must read it as one who has no idea what is written there. At this point it is possible to understand that many people are from different countries with different vocabularies. Always, take that into account.
If you are tired, take a break to breathe some fresh air, talk to another human "face to face" and then, come back to finish what you started. It's not worth it if you accidentally ruin a great content just by not reviewing it carefully.
As long as you practice by making the habit, the bases, it will become easier and faster to do. Then you will develop a skilled and trained eye.
"The sluggard works twice". If you rush yourself into publishing an article, you may have to edit and repair errors again and again.
Take as an example, articles by other authors. You can take them as a guide. Look at the many ways to present an article.

How to make an impact in Steemit.

I had days thinking about this. If we are part of a community, each and every one of us, We can decide to positively or negatively impact our "digital environments". If you train your eye, you can help, curate, and positively impact in Steemit. I often see an article with 3 or 4 serious errors and below, 10 or 15 comments that say:

Thank you, I also think like you do ... I'm following you.

Bellow that, another person who only have left a happy face, followed by a funny image. I think it's great when we share at those levels, but, we must train our eye if we really want to impact people here. Only by knowing how to curate your own articles, you impact and help others.
That's why I recommend you some ways to impact in Steemit, bellow:

Every time you read an article, if you see errors, please leave a comment based on that. That can help that writer to improve his writing. In this way we are cleansing and curing bad habits. It is about improving as a community. I truly believe than a person who has more reputation, has a greater commitment and responsibility on how to do things in Steemit.
You can always say things and write comments in the best way possible. You can ask that person if they do not bother with you sharing some comments about his/her post.

I think we can all cure content, as long as we have the opportunity. This is why I ask for collaboration, to each and every one of Us in Steemit. Count on me 100% for everything that I may be useful.

Use a text editor such as Word or write directly to the Steemit editor.

Here's a big dilemma. My friend @zullyscott told me one afternoon:

I like to use Word to edit, then copy and paste the content into the Steemit editor.

We may find a "character issue" here. I am not talking about hurting feelings or differences of personalities. I am referring to an error of characters, letters and hidden codes between paragraphs. Have you ever noticed that, sometimes, you get rare characters like "&nsp" or nonsense chars? This is because of encoding within different writing sources. Although it seems a bit difficult at first, I recommend you using the Steemit's editor directly. Also, installing a spell checker in your browser it is a must.
If you prefer to continue using Word I recommend the following:

Once you have corrected the text inside Word or the editor you use, open Notepad or another simple text editor.
Copy the text content (without images) from Word and paste it into the simple editor, such as Notepad.
Copy the text content from Notepad.
Paste it into the Steemit's editor.

With these steps you will have the text in simple characters with the proper codification and without errors. Of course, you should redo the image links and common links one by one.

Tags and more Tags

I often see some people who, inadvertently, post the tag "sapnish". That category does not exist. It only exists, for now, spanish. Likewise, many writers who write very fast, can make those mistakes. Now, if you misspelt the first tag of your article, it will be badly written "forever". You can always repair or modify the remaining tags, but the first, will be reflected as you have it written when you publish.
About tags, my recommendations are:

Check each of the tags while placing them.
Copy the ones you use the most, in a separate text file. This way it will be only copy and paste.
Analyze what your article is about and, based on that, play with the best available options. Browse Steemit categories and choose the ones that best suit your article. Click to view categories.
Do not abuse the tags just for wanting to gain more views or more visits. Using the tag steemit, just because you want to receive visitors in your introduceyourself article, is a very bad practice. In order to use steemit tag, you should talk about steemit related topics.
Please, even if you find yourself tempted, do not create new tags just because you think it goes well with your article. Creating a new category is something reserved for those who have a large flow of articles, audience or a very high reputation. If you are going to create a label you must be a pioneer in a category that will be used in a massive way.

Pleasing the reader without losing your ideas.

When we start at Steemit, too often, we may want to gain time to create many articles in one day. The quality comes from creating a good article, even if it cost you a whole day to create it. I always quote the notorious example of the account @teamsteem. He publish an article each week or each 2 days. If you read any of @teamsteem articles, you will see how many hours you may need to build that kind of material. This is creating good articles.

For mass production, let the Chinese factories keep producing millions of things every day. Many of them cheap and meaningless items.

Scoring signs, well-defined paragraphs and clear ideas, and some of the key points to consider. Thinking a bit more about how to shape an idea, can be the difference between a good article and a "not as good" post. Whenever you have multiple explanations, you can separate them with flashy titles or phrases that explain your ideas in a better way. This is a habit that I am just learning, and yet I dare myself to share with you. Before finishing, an image that "has nothing to do with my article" but, it helps to relax the reader's view. Please take a look at it, carefully, for a few seconds.

Perhaps this article it seems very theoretical. That's why I appreciate you have taken the time to read it. The theory is important so then, we can put it into practice. Knowing all this Steemit's theory will cause you better curation on your articles and help others as well. It will help you to really know what you are doing.
