Well, well, well…. 7 days on steemit already and for me, high time for my first statement and feedbacks!
(Voila, voila, voila… 7 jours déjà que je navigue sur steemit.com! L’heure d’un premier bilan et retour d’expérience a sonné! )
The origin / Les origines
Like for the « Planet of the apes », there is a first opus : the origin! The story is the one : A friend of mine, Nico, a photographer, @exposez, gave me a call: « you should have a look at steemit, that could become a Facebook killer! not only there is not a lot of photographs but on top of that you get money to post! » Of course, with such arguments, I looked at it and subscribed!
(Comme pour le film la planète des singes, il y a le premier opus « Les origines ». L’histoire commence donc par un appel de mon pote photographe Nico qui me dit : « tu devrais regarder steemit, si ça marche, ça va bouffer FB! Et il y a encore très peu de photographes. Mieux, t’es payé pour poster de la qualité! » Forcément, je me suis inscrit!)
The first hours / Les premiers pas
To be honest, first steps appeared a little bit difficult and mysterious to me. One window for the chat and one for the blog did not look obvious to me. At first sight, I was disappointed with the interface minimalism but I had to admit that it was working well. As A FB user, it was confusing as a start. Used to have messenger and my wall on the same page, it was not instinctive to have the same but with two pages. But that’s the way it is and I had to do with it! Si then I introduced myself and decided to write first in english then translate into French. At once, it looks like a great opportunity to have a worldwide speech, though FB remains us to our local area. Well, I wrote my first post by so, with 50% technics and 50% of humour as I like to do!
(Alors là, je vais être honnête, tout m’a paru assez compliqué et le fait d’avoir une fenêtre par application m’a un peu dérouté. J’ai eu du mal à comprendre au départ le minimalism de l’interface mais qui in fine marche très bien. Quand on vient de FB, c’est assez déroutant! On voudrait retrouver sa messagerie plutôt que d’ouvrir une fenêtre pour le tchat! Mais bon, c’est le jeu ma pauvre Lucette, donc je fais avec. Et donc je m’introduis… enfin, je me présente comme disent les anglais. Alors j’essaye de faire ça un peu propre, avec mon style bien à moi, 50% de bien technique et 50% d’humour. D’entrée de jeu, j’ai perçu la nécessité de m’exprimer tant en anglais qu’en français : steemit est une magnifique opportunité de s’ouvrir au monde contrairement à FB où les gens restent dans leur secteur géographique.)
The photographer's point of view / Le point de vue du photographe
Photography looks to be the merging workflow on the blockchain et is already at the second place for the topic interest. Nevertheless, I did not see so much good photographers at the moment. A very good opportunity to share my experience and spread my work all over the blockchain community!
(L’intérêt de la photographie est grandissant sur Steemit et le #photography se place en deuxième position! En revanche, la communauté de bons photographes est encore très faibles et le niveau photographique relativement bas. Idéal pour se lancer et faire partager mon expérience à ceux qui le veulent.)
My gains/ Mes gains
In one word, it is good to get money from your work instead of working for the others. It is not to be profitable immediately but more a question of appreciation. For sure, whatever you think about crypto, Steemit is the unique place where your work has a value by itself. And this will lead a lot of photographers to join the community. To be clear with you, I earned 107$ within 7 days and very happy with it! For sure, I worked hard on my posts and loving the stem philosophy, I had lots of pleasure to do it. Becoming my own bank, I think it is worth investing in the principle so I turn all my gains into Steem Power.
(On va y aller franco, ce n’est pas désagréable d’être rémunéré pour publier le fruit de son travail. Indépendamment du montant, il est clair que steemit est la seule plateforme qui propose ce principe et il y a fort à parier que de nombreux photographes vont suivre. Financièrement, mes gains sont de 107$ en 7 jours cumulés, ce qui me semble plus que correct pour un début! Très clairement également, j’ai adopté la philosophie de parier sur la plateforme et je transforme tout en Steem Power. Etant devenu mon propre banquier, je mise sur une valeur qui me semble sûre et qui en plus me permet de voyager sur toute la planète et de présenter mon travail au monde entier.)
Conclusion
Though my first steps were not obvious, the Steemit format 50% base on blog 50% based on social network, with on top of that a financial value, is just wonderful for me. I feel free to express myself and talk about my passions, let my new friend join my passions also! So what else? 100% impressed for sure!
(Si la prise en main n’est pas des plus évidentes, le format de steemit à cheval entre un blog et un réseau social, de surcroit rémunéré, me convient plus plus plus! Comme un poisson dans l’eau, je m’y sens à l’aise et je suis ravi de voir ma communauté grandir et d’avoir autant d’interactions avec les utilisateurs! Que dire? Conquis!)
