SteemJ for Freelancing Week 1 Update: Key Features + Income!

Will SteemJ make getting hired for a job and posting a job as easy as posting on Steemit? After 1 week, what has happened since the initial launch at @jerrybanfield/2000-steem-prize-develop-steemj-com-for-steemit-freelancing ?

Thanks to a call today with @sarasate, the developer of https://www.steemdocs.com/ and Insteem, I learned that I need a concise summary of the key developer targets shared in bullet points followed by an explanation of how the developer is compensated on an ongoing basis along with a future roadmap. I hope to provide those for reading in less than five minutes starting now!

Developer key objectives for initial launch of SteemJ.

  1. Sign in via Steemit account and posting key as ChainBB by @jesta allows at https://beta.chainbb.com/.
  2. Make posts within SteemJ in a web browser similar to https://busy.org by @ekitcho and @fabien with the ability to schedule posts and either immediately or eventually collect a percentage of author rewards all going to the developer.
  3. Offer a homepage similar to http://news.insteem.com/ where browsing jobs, freelancers, steemgigs, and SteemJ posts is easy which also explains the purpose of SteemJ and has space for a YouTube tutorial I will create showing how to use it.
  4. Allow every profile page from steemit to be displayed as a profile on SteemJ as featured above.
  5. Google analytics tracking on all pages.
  6. Secure browsing with https.

Developer compensation!

  1. 2,000 Steem for finishing the first functional and community approved version of SteemJ.com paid by me from @jerrybanfield/transfers.
  2. 5% of total post rewards for every post created on SteemJ.com as long as the developer is actively maintaining and improving SteemJ.com. This will give authors 70%, upvoters 25%, and the SteemJ developer 5%.
  3. Most of my new posts will go through SteemJ.com once it is up and has the ability to schedule posts because I want to give the developer a consistent payout from the beginning.
  4. Posting weekly updates of SteemJ.com will earn an upvote from me at a minimum with the possibility to earn what some of the top app updates like ChainBB and eSteem get which is $500 to $1,000 per post.
  5. I expect SteemJ to provide a developer with at least part time income from the beginning with a full time equivalent income within a year of launch!

Roadmap of future features!

  1. Find help page for tracking freelancers most recently online and interested in working.
  2. Browse jobs page for showing most recent new jobs posted.
  3. Allow users to manually manage adding posts about steemgigs, jobs complete, and now hiring to their profile.
  4. Integrated private messaging without having to sign up for any third party service. This alone would make SteemJ worth using even without caring about the freelancing features.
  5. Track SteemJ earnings and spending from memos sent that include SteemJ.
  6. Enable each user to write a custom profile description different from what is on Steemit.
  7. Refer a friend bonus offering 2% of the author rewards from bringing any new friend in which would drop the developer fee to 3% on a referral sign up.

My marketing plans for SteemJ!

  1. Make videos on Facebook and YouTube showing SteemJ.
  2. Google responsive display ads to SteemJ.
  3. Steemit crowdfunding campaigns offering to spend all rewards on ads for SteemJ as seen already with Steemit at @jerrybanfield/steem-video-ad-1-on-facebook-and-youtube-featuring-10-reasons-for-usd10-steem-in-10-months.
  4. Emails explaining SteemJ to scholars enrolled at The University of Jerry Banfield.

Thank you to @sarasate for explaining to me the need to make a more concise post that is fast to read and @o5faruk for beginning work on a functional version of SteemJ as well as the @steemgigs team for working to actively collaborate with me! If you would like to contribute to the development of SteemJ, would you join us at https://steemit.chat/channel/steemj because this is where we are all currently together? Thank you @acidyo for forwarding my request to @pfunk who was kind enough to create this channel for us!

Would you help me make SteemJ a reality by upvoting this post and/or sharing your feedback below because it will add a lot of value to our community and help each of us connect more effectively to make money online?

Love,
Jerry Banfield
