A little Stax history for newer members

The bot account @silvergoldbotty is @phelimint's baby and gift to the community and he has taken care of her very well over the past 6 months. We can see that when we look and see how big and strong she has got. With a few rules being introduced and the price a SBD hitting $10+ a few months back, she got a good boast. At the minute, she is sitting on over 100k of SP and upvoting around $27 at full power. There are alot of users who are not members of the #steemsilvergold community trying to get into Stax underwear for upvotes. When Stax grew to the point were tiers were needed to be put into place, the membership list and adding new members had to change as well. The old way, all someone had to do was use the group tag for a few weeks and they were auto added to the group. As Stax grew more and more people were abusing our baby and phil did the best thing and split Stax away from the membership list. This stirred the pot and alot of members were not happy after some confusion, but after a few days and a few posts everything evened out. The new way is a new members is added after being nominated by an already member, getting a 2nd sponsor and finally an ok from a group mod. This process helps to ensure we are only adding members that are suited to the group.
It has got the point now Stax's posts are getting spammed all the time with people asking how to get upvotes. I get them on the membership list posts as well but not nearly as many as Phil gets for Stax. @pawos has been a gentleman by sorting through the comments and hiding are flagging users spamming.

Why?

Because we are awesome to put it simply. If you are a newer member and not really understanding what Stax is all about let me fill you in. Stax was set up by Phil as an account that would upvote members of the group and provide a short cut to the rewards Steemit has to offer. Members have generously made donations and delegated SP the account. As the account upvote grew new tiers were introduced so that different members get different upvote percentages based on what they put in. This is refreshed every month so no members can take advantage. This means Stax rewards active donater's which stops someone from stealing all the voting power with 1 huge delegation are donation. Phil has spent countless hours on this project and possibly spent more time thinking about how to best serve everyone fairly. He has a big weight on his shoulders and i dont think he gets enough credit for that.
As a new member you should be aiming to upvote Stax post everyday 100% VP. If you have under 500 SP and do not have a voting slider, all your upvotes are auto 100%. Upvote all of @silvergoldbotty posts, she makes 1 a day normally. This will get you on the ladder, then climb the ladder. Make good content and use your SBD rewards to convert in Steem and pay for membership of one of Stax tiers. As the weeks and months roll by, work your way up Stax members levels and by the time your at gold. You will have your own plan and path to forge. That's what its all about, rewarding #steemsilvergold members. The longer your member and the more you donate, the more your rewarded. Simples

With the current max upvote of around $27 at full power You can work out the upvote roughly in your head. Stax is kept at a min of 90% voting power when it can be helped.

Once again, @silvergoldbotty, aka, Stax is only for #steemsilvergold members. DO NOT ask @phelimint, @raybrockman are @silverstackeruk how to get upvotes. If you are not a group member and have no interest in silver are gold stacking, DONT ASK. Your account will tell us of your are worthy are not for group membership.

Just as a final note and quick share. There will be plans in the future to do a 6 month are yearly clear out of the membership list as another way to stop people abusing what we have built as a community. When you compare steemsilvergold to other steemit groups, we pretty much are the dogs balls of groups. There is no question about that. We dont want dead members and each member will have their account reviewed in a very time costly exercise. 90% of members will be fine but that is another post for another time and i would need to speak with raybroackman and phelimint before this happens. Just a heads up for anyone trying to gain membership for upvotes, dont bother.

Stax is the type of girl that enjoys the finer things in life like silver and gold. She does not just give upvotes out willy nilly, she is a classy bot and only upvotes quality posts about stacking. If you need to ask, you dont need to know.
