HERE ARE THE OFFICIAL RULES:

• Take a current photo of the tattoo that you are entering. (This should be YOUR tattoo, not a friends or one posted on the internet.)
• To verify your entry, display a sheet of paper with “Tattoo Story Contest Entry” written on it next to the tattoo in the photo. (Again, G rated only)
• Write up the story behind your tattoo; you don’t even have to like the tattoo anymore to enter.
• Name your post Tattoo Story Contest Entry along with whatever else you want to call it.
• Post the verified photo with the story in #tattoostorycontest & #contest.
• Post your entry prior to Saturday at Midnight CST.

REMEMBER – Entries will be judged on a combination of the tattoo AND the story behind it. An amazing tattoo of a pot of gold on your bicep may be runner up to an old, faded, zig-zagging line across someone’s neck, if they’ve got the better story. Also, please be honest.

What exactly am I giving away this time?

THE TATTOO STORY CONTEST!!!!

Yep, that's right. I thought that it could be fun to run and it is, but it has served its purpose for me.

Here's what it has to offer the community:

Builds relationships and community by having steemians share and interact.
Promotes posts - any entry gets more exposure, so it could earn its own Steem and still get paid by the contest.
More exposure for the participants - It gets the names of those entering out there
Fun - It's just fun to be a part of and watch

Here's what it offers the person running the contest:

Exposure - It gets your name out there is you are running it
Steem Power - Since posts payout in both SBD and Steem Power, the person running it can keep the Steem Power and give the SBD to the entrants (winners)
Followers - When you run a contest - people follow you - I now have almost 400, and many I met because of this contest
Friends - As you run a contest and interact, it's a great way to make new friends
Reputation - The more positive interaction you have, the more likely your reputation is to increase - (doing nothing with not add reputation)
Second Payouts - It is hard to keep track of every payout, for I give the first payout of SBD to the winners. SInce the second one comes a month later, that it four contests away and 12 more winners later, so I'd rather not bother chasing loose ends. Though it usually isn't much, sometimes these do get a second payout.
