Life minus Steemit, life plus Steemit, life ahead

Every person has a story to tell

A story about the day. A story about the internet. A story about politics. A story of his or her life. I love reading other people's stories. But I also personally like the idea of telling my story - a life minus Steemit, a life plus Steemit, a life ahead - and here it is, with accompanying drawings. So buckle up and read on.

Read on.

A scientist.

She's a fresh graduate with a degree in Applied Physics.

As a kid, Aira disliked science. She didn't like the complexity of it or how her elementary teachers tried so hard to get their points across. She didn't like

  1. how she would be forced to remember every food under the go, grow, and glow sections; or
  2. how she had to memorize the steps for a full seed germination; or
  3. how she had to draw, identify, and define the parts of a grasshopper.

It was horrible. But it was exactly because of these reasons that, fast forward to about a decade, she finally holds a BS in Applied Physics degree. It was a challenge she conquered - even at the cost of her time. During her last semester, she barely had any time to sleep. She satisfied her self with 2 to 4 hours of sleep just to finish her research.

At the end of the semester, back at her parents' home, she finally got what she craved for months - sleep. But alas, it was actually while she was sleeping more than 2 weeks ago that she was introduced to Steemit.

A phone call.

A phone call ruined her much deserved sleep, but it was exactly that phone call that led her to register with Steemit.

Her mother had to wake her up. In the first place, the time she was sleeping was very off, but she didn't care because was really tired! Against her wishes (lol kidding), Aira sat up and listened to her mother talk to her big sister @arrliinn and, eventually, talk to her herself.

She was so groggy she could hardly understand what @arrliinn was trying to say. But she listened, as it was only a few times a month she gets to have a phone call with her big sister.

Comic panel 4.

(The above was, of course, non-verbatim. And @arrliinn mentioned other things besides Steemit. Aira's brain was sleeping then with her eyes wide awake.)

She handed the phone back to her mother and tried to get some sleep again. Yes, she was uninterested. But her sister was pretty persistent, and private messaged the link to Steemit in her Facebook. With enough sleep, energy, and endorphins in her body, Aira decided to sign up... and ultimately enjoyed it.

Given this, what should people expect from her channel? There are hundreds of thousands of other users here in Steemit, so what would set her channel apart from the others?

The answer is nothing.

But what she could provide will definitely mean a lot. And they are...

Curious questions.

BUT MORE THAN ANYTHING . . .

Randomness.

She is curious.

In just two weeks, Steemit has become the place where Aira stores all her satiated curiosity.

Aira likes to learn about even the littlest of things because she's curious. She is always curious. She hates asking other people questions though, in the fear of inconveniencing them and more, so she takes it to herself to find out about stuff she wanted to learn about.

More than anything, she liked sharing these new-found-answers to other people, and that is exactly how Steemit comes into play. Aira's curiosity borders on random, but it definitely mirrors who she is.

She loves reading.

She is the kind of person who loves to read. That's what makes Steemit special to her. More than she can write and earn, she can also read and soak herself up with other peoples' stories. People who came from all around the world and their experiences and talents all vary.

She is the kind of person who loves art. In high school, she used to be the president of the Art Club. She loved doing crafts with her friends, creating stages for high school plays and programs, and painting. Once, she has even created Z.A.F.T. Freedom Gundam cosplay with her friends and classmates. She loves to draw - from traditional to digital.

The best thing about Steemit.

Aira gets to experience other peoples' stories, talents, ideas, opinions, curiosities, questions, news, and more through their words and pictures. She loves it.

The worst thing about Steemit.

What worst thing? *insert sly smile*

Life after Steemit.

It is something I am yet to embark on. For now, steem on!

I finally got the reason to post a legit #introduceyourself post. Finding the reason to as well? Then check this out.
