Hello fellow steemians!
Based on my personal experience I believe that Prague has one of the best public transportation system in Europe as it covers the majority of the city and outskirts. Even though you can get around by trams and buses I would highly recommend using underground system. Why? It is very easy to use, inexpensive, fast and will take you to all major attractions. As I mentioned in my previous post try to pick your accommodation close to tube and you will be just fine getting around. Do not be afraid to book your accommodation out of a downtown area as long as you have underground stop in walking distance. Whatever you do, try to avoid using your car since you will have a hard time finding a parking space and will cost you way more than using the underground system.
Tube opens up daily from 5 AM and runs until midnight and goes every 2 to 3 minutes during the peak times. The cost of the ticket starts at 24CZK for 30 minutes ticket. You also have an option to buy a day ticket or several days ticket. If your accommodation is close to downtown you will be just fine purchasing a single ticket when needed so. Underground system in Prague consist of 3 lines - A - green line, B - yellow line, C - red line. All the lines are connected so you can get around the whole city very easily in fast and convenient manner.
