Hello fellow steemians,
The below statue of Radegast can be found at a pilgrimage place of Moravian Pustevny Mountains. Nevertheless, the statue was not always located at its current destination. It was originally created in the USA by Albin Polasek, a Czech sculptor, who could not find work in his homeland at that time and taught sculpture at the Academy of Art in Chicago. Radegast is a god of war as well as a god of hospitality and abundance. The whole area of Pustevny Mountain is significant in the area and deserves more attention so I will cover it in the more lengthy post sometimes tomorrow. Stay tuned if you are interested.
