Come with me and see the beauty of West Canada

The Canadian Rocky Mountains with crystal-clear blue lakes, unspoiled wilderness, snow-capped mountains and rich wildlife are one of the greatest landscapes I have ever seen.

In 2017 when Canada celebrated its 150th birthday I made a road trip to capture some of this beautiful country on camera.

One of the most iconic and most-photographed places of Canada is Moraine Lake in Banff National Park in Alberta. The lake is located in the "Valley of the ten Peaks" at an elevation of 1885m.

This photo shows the so-called "Twenty Dollar View". It was the motive of the canadian 20 Dollar bill between 1969 and 1979.

This viewpoint is located on a huge pile of rocks. It a stunning view from there.

The color of the lake is an very impressive and intense kind of blue because of rock flour on the bottom.

You can also rent canoes to paddle along the lake shore.

One day after I took the first three images it snowed the first time of the year and everything got coated in white...

All photos are my own work. I will show more highlights of Canada in the next days...
