This beautiful vulcan is located on the Island Tenerife of the Canary Islands. It is the highest spot of Spain with an altitude of 3718m. You can hike to the top or use a cable car.

The Teide is the emblem of Tenerife and therefore can also be found on the official flag of the Island. In 1954 a national park was founded to protect the Teide and its surroundings.
The land is very dry and harsh with a lot of vulcanic rocks and only a few bushes.
