Hello, my fellow steemit friends,
How time flies, it has been already 2018! I am still in shocked because the memories I had in 2017 is still as fresh as a daisy but at the same time feeling excited about this brand New Year of 2018! With all the excitement, I am longing for more travels to come and to continue sharing with you guys of all my travel experiences.
With this great time of the year, I figured out, this is the exact timing I would like to share with you guys my travels to Europe as a brand new start for the beginning of the year, changing up some travels stories I had in Asia countries. So, please relax and enjoy yourself!
Before we start, always, a short video for you to generalize my travel experiences. Enjoy~~
To describe myself in a sentence, "I would say that I am a travel fanatic!" Because I am literally obsessed with the experiences of meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and most importantly, trying out different kinds of food!
Travelling to Amsterdam is like a dream come true. I have always wanted to visit this diverse piece of land, to understand the mystical harmonious living with diverse cultural backgrounds and with different demographics.
How should I start? Hmmm..
How about starting with basic? Scenery
Most of the European countries have the best architecture, creating the most picturesque scenery of all time.
If you haven't already known, Amsterdam is one of the cities that have most canals in the world which also gained the title of "Venice of the North". With all the iconic canals built in the 17th-century, the canal ring area such as Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht, were being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year of 2010.
Taking a scenic shot by the canals have been already been a norm, necessity or a mandatory shot for all tourists or even for the locals. Those canals were as if magical, casting love spells on you to fall in love at first sight, deeply captivated by the beauty of the surroundings. Well, of course I am under the spell :D
As much as you may know, Amsterdam located under the territory of Holland is well famous for their blooming beauty of flowers. Especially Tulips.
Looking at the colourful and vibrant colours of flowers instantly brighten up my day. The blooming flowers are like a living happiness that radiates like the fragrance and draws all good things towards you.
Just so you thought that Amsterdam couldn't be any better with their natural landscape, people there are amazing!
The lively surroundings, well-decorated houses, happy faces everywhere will literally bring you to another dimension which I named it Heaven
Strolling around the buzzing morning market, experiencing and tasting the local produce was an eye-opening experience. The lively environment projected it's beauty to have attracted visitors across the world and even the locals. The undeniable charms of the city has definitely deeply left a remarkable experience for everyone, including me for sure!
Tasting my first Artichoke in my life! Even though it's just a pickled artichoke. This had me going crazy even just by looking at it. Blame me for being crazy but, that's the excitement that you'll get too if you're being excited over something that you're looking forward to too right?
The flavour of artichoke with the infused thyme was absolutely amazing, the flavour of thyme with the sourness from pickle as if it has the reminiscent of fried egg white flavour. Mmmmm...now I am hungry and craving it so much!
Awaiting for my Star-Cruise
As I said previously, canals are the heart and souls of Amsterdam. Without visiting the heart, it is almost a crime.
Cruising around Amsterdam will definitely lift your eyes wide open. Expanding your knowledge of the ancient histories of Amsterdam was absolutely impressive! It is definitely a must to visit without a second doubt to recommend.
Last but not least, exploring the other part of the town in Amsterdam.
Little do you know that Amsterdam also has a dark side of it. Drugs, gambling and sex are no special in Amsterdam. Not so surprising that you'll see widely sold tobacco shops or even weed selling in a hidden street.
Everything has an exception. So does Amsterdam.
Let's generalize this amazingly beautiful city of Amsterdam with their exceptionally great architecture.
PS: Did someone just said shopping? :D There's where all the damages were done
It has always been the best day when it comes to travelling. There's no absolute right or wrong choice to make while you're travelling, but to weight it according to your preferences. The most important is to be happy and I am proud that I fulfil my goal of travelling to Amsterdam and the rest of my trips.
