My Favorite Eats and Treats at Disney World: Part 1

As promised, I'm sharing some of the tempting treats and favorites dining spots of my trip the past 2 weeks.

I would have loved to try out each and every spot in the park but since that would require spending many days there, I'll have to add it to my bucket list. Also, with my family's size we usually gravitate towards the quick service restaurants rather than going to a sit-down because it's just way more convenient that way.
While each individual dining cart and restaurant throughout the parks will probably have a brief menu, Disney has a very wide variety of foods choices on the whole. You'll find your traditional theme park fair in the way of snacks that's for sure. There are things like popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy, frozen treats, and many others. There are a few place to find Rainforest Cafe too.

Some other things you'll find at all the parks are their famous dole whips, ginormous turkey legs, and each park has a Starbucks. Yes I said Starbucks, isn't it awesome? However if you don't look hard enough they are very easy to miss because they are all somewhat disguised under a different name with the exception of the two locations at Disney Springs. In Magic Kingdom you'll find it on Main Street USA and it's simply called Main Street Bakery. In the other 3 parks it's similar; for Epcot it's called Fountain View Cafe, at Hollywood Studios it's Trolley Car Cafe, and in Animal Kingdom you'll find your favorite frappes in Creature Comforts.

When it comes to meal times the choices are so wide open. So much so in fact, that I'm going to split it up into two posts for you guys. In this post I'll share my favorite places in Magic Kingdom and in the next post It'll be Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom's options. So starting with MK.....

~MAGIC KINGDOM~

Starting on Main Street there are the most adorable shops inspired by Walt Disney's childhood memories and they'll be sure to take you straight to the nostalgia of classic Americana. My mom and little sis picked out some cupcakes in the Confectionery and another one of my sisters and I chose some ice cream cones in the Ice Cream Parlor. Oh and that first picture in this post (above) is the ice cream sandwich that my brother got there as well. Tempting, no? If you're feeling really brave go for the kitchen sink sundae and I dare you to finish it.

Also on Main Street, is Casey's Hot Dogs. Wow, they have a menu item that could please every comfort food dream you didn't even know you had. It's a hot dog smothered in mac n cheese and sprinkled with bacon!

Once you get past Main Street the rest of the park is divided into lands. In Tomorrowland there is the Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant and they offer a Fireworks Dessert Party at night. Never tried it but I've heard it's good viewing for the show and great food however we did eat at the Starlight Cafe this past trip and that's also in Tomorrowland.

I think my family's favorite spot in Magic Kingdom would have to be Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn in Frontierland because they offer food with a Mexican flare and a generous topping bar. Adventureland has a great place called Tortuga Tavern that will make every Pirates of the Caribbean fan happy to eat at. Fantasyland has a cool restaurant called Pinocchio Village Haus where you can sit and watch the It's a Small World riders go by. We've eaten there many times and it's really good. Then there is the famous Be Our Guest restaurant and I wanted so badly to see the interior and get photos but unfortunately you must make reservations far in advance.

Alright, check back soon for the next post 'cause I'll be finishing up with where to eat at the other parks.
