Prize Catching in Nakano | 在中野夾獎品

I love playing prize catching machines in Japan, partly because of the prizes there are mostly limited only to the machines (of course you can always buy them from some shops in Akihabara, which people sold the prizes they got), but major reason is always the processes. I treat the process same as playing video games. As I grow up, I get less and less time for playing arcade video games, so I fulfill my desire for playing arcade games by playing those prize catching machines.

我一向喜歡在日本玩夾獎品的遊戲機，部分原因是因為有量的獎品都是限定在遊戲機中作獎品，不會公開發售(當然大家還是可以在秋葉原的二手商店買到那些獎品的).但最大原因是遊戲的過程。我是以在日本玩這些遊戲機來作為沒時間打電玩的替代品。

Currently most prize catching machines cost ¥100 per play and ¥500 for 6 plays. Some more expensive machines will cost you double of ¥200 per play and ¥500 for 3 plays. So it can easily cost you a few thousand yens (no matter how many prizes you got). I usually play those machines in Shinjuku, Ikekuburo, Ueno and Akihabara. However, recently I found one amusement center in Nakano that always has good bargains.

現在大部分的遊戲機都是¥100一局， ¥500則有6局。比較貴的就是¥200一局，$500三局。所以在遊戲中心很容易不自覺的就會花上數千日圓。我以往通常都在新宿，池袋，上野和秋葉原玩這些遊戲。不過最近給我找到一間大減價的遊戲中文！

What I meant was, it was much cheaper to play the prize catching machines in that amusement center than the others. As you can see, many of the machines cost you only ¥100 for 4 plays! 25% of what the other amusement centers charge you.

大減價是指玩一次夾獎品機的價錢低了很多。這裏很多獎品機只需要¥100就玩到4次！四分之一的價錢！

You may think that those prizes must be out-dated so that the amusement center would like to get rid of them by lowering the price. I was with you at the beginning, but when I looked at the prizes, I found that they were actually same as what other centers were offering.

大家可能會認為這裏因為想把舊的獎品清掉才做特價吧！最初我亦有同樣的想法，後來才發現原來並非如此，這裏的獎品跟其他地方的是一模一樣呀。

I had to restrict myself not to get too many figures as I don’t have any space to put or store them. If not for this reason, I should have run out of luggage spaces instead. So I spent some good time here and got 2 figures for my wife and myself before I headed back to Shinjuku for my dinner.
