Mexican Motorcycle Adventures: A Quick Trip Out Beyond Bonfil

Today just before sunset we took a long drive outside of Acapulco on the motorcycle. I brought my camera and crochet project, John brought his drone to explore some abandoned properties in the area. These were taken at a property we stopped that was even farther south than Bonfil, a town that's at least a half hour outside Acapulco.

We aren't sure what this place was or was supposed to be but it somewhat seems like it was meant to be an event hall, something pretty common here.

That cool white building is a big part of why we stopped. We noticed it last time we went down this far. John droned it and while the footage isn't ready to share, it's a pretty cool place that never got finished, complete with a moat around the property just inside the wall of the place.

It seemed like we were likely parked right next to a coconut farm, super common here. Something most people don't realize is that palm trees aren't actually native to this area, so where there are palm trees they were most likely put there by someone.
