Comoara Piratilor (Pirates' Treasure) is a beautiful themed playground located on the last floor of the Tomis Mall in Constanta, Romania.
To be honest, we have been to this mall a few days back and passed in front of this playground a few times without knowing how great it was.
The first time we had a glance at it, we were not sure it if it was a playground or it was a themed restaurant with an indoor play area for children.
The second time we went there, it was closed so we could not find out more about it.
It was only today that we discovered what a jewel it was.
Did I mention that it was the cheapest playground we found in the city of Constanta?
What makes this place so special? Hmmm... Let's see!
Well, besides the fact that has a real wooden pirate ship in the middle of it, which is close to 12 meters long, it also has an amazing floor which makes you think you are being on water.
In certain areas it does look like shore clear waters, as if you were in the Caribbean Sea.
The ship itself it is a nice replica of a pirate ship. It even has six cannons underneath, as you saw in the photos above.
I could not help myself from going aboard and having a look at it and playing pirates with my son.
It was way to awesome to let this chance pass by!
The playground was divided in seven areas: Cornucopia's Gulf, Jungle of Traps, the Navigation Post, The Magic Deck, Captain's Cabin, the Aboriginal Village, the Submarine and off course, the ship.
I loved these original seats and lamp shades made out of old aluminum pots!
Not to mention the rock looking walls and the paintings on them which created the illusion of the horizon.
In addition there were two other playing areas which consisted from a regular indoor playground structure and another reserved to the video game lovers.
What it did not make sense to me was that it was empty. There were no other children in there, despite the fact that school was done and it was not a beach day.
Not too mention the cheap price! The other playground had almost a triple price compared to this one.
Here for 5 lei ($1.5 USD) you can have your child playing and having a blast.
I can't imagine a child who would not like to play in here, pretending to be a pirate.
My little one explored every single inch of this playground, pretending to be Captain Hook and then Peter Pan.
He swam, captured bad guys, did acrobatic moves, cought couple of marlins, cooked them, had a party and so on...
Do I recommend this playground to other parents? Absolutely yes!
You can grab a coffee or a juice and watch your child play. There is free Wi-Fi but don't expect a high speed though!
Note that you will need to supervise your child during your stay!
