[Blog #1] Adventure with Dad | Exploring day, Guards and Work

Hello hello dear readers! How are you? Follow me on this new category, where I'll be posting live to keep you updated on the adventures.

Camping, mate and work. Best combination ever.

Minas do Camaquã, March 31st, 2018.

Night time here at my camp site. While dinner is being prepared I've had this idea to update real time what I'm doing. What will we have for dinner? I don't know, but I can smell onions being fryed, let's see what comes out, any guess?

I've been trying to understand how the digital nomads find time to work on the computer or how they maintain a 'live' blogging. I'm not the type of guy that is always glued to a cellphone or my computer - I don't even have instagram or any other social media - however everytime I take some time to rest I think about posting something on steemit.

I'll tell you... it's hard doing it away from civilization. First I find a little peacefull moment, when I'm not exploring something, then I prepare everything and BANG... someone invites me for something crazy, or internet doesn't work, or some cool insect appears and I go check it, or the dogs come and start playing. Focus, where are you my friend?

If you are a nomad, how do you work? Please tell me the master secret to focus, especially in the wilderness. I'll need it when I finally start a world travel.

The dog helping out, or not.

Anyway, I'm with my dad at a place called Minas do Camaquã (Camaquã mines) at a camping site hosted by Mr. Alvaro, an 84 year old man, a legend. He is a living history, everytime he passes by to chat a bit I end up learning so much about the region, it's lovely his passion to talk about his past.

He had a near death car accident 26 yeas ago that left him with some sequels, but he doesn't let that stop him. I like how he firmly walks with his walking stick, and the simplicity on his half buttoned shirt, shorts and a pair of slippers. It's one of those people that you sit an just listen and learn. I just can't understand how teenagers disrespect elderly people, it's just... plain stupid.

Today was crazy and super adventurous, dad and I explored some abandonned mines that I'll write about when I get back home, all I can tell is that it was awesome! Until the guards found us haha, it's forbidden to enter there... but sometimes you just have to disobey the law, just a little bit, and my dad was with me so no problems at home if I went to jail, right?

More about this soon xD.

I'm so glad, it's been a long time since I have done something with dad. He even agreed to go up a peak and is now planning to come back for a fishing season.

Dad resting on the way up.

Well that's it I guess, dinner is almost ready and I gotta go. Today's recipe: Tuna fish with pasta prepared with the best homemade tomato sauce.

Stay tunned, because soon I'll talk about the mines and how we almost went to jail.

Love ya all.
