I took today's Photo Short during a tropical rainstorm in Bangkok, Thailand.
This is the view from my old apartment in the Thai capital. In the rainy season down pours like this were common. The weather in Bangkok was only ever that of extremes, ferocious sunshine, or jet powered rain. Like God flicked a switch turning the rain on, it would come down full pelt until the switch was flicked back and it stopped just as quickly. There were no half measures, no drizzle.
This photo sums up my memories of that time. I was living in a city of extremes. Things were full throttle, or nothing at all. There wasn't much in between.
