Hey there my Steemit friends! In this set of photos we find ourselves strolling through the heart of the historic district in Quito Ecuador. More specifically we walk down Calle Chile (Chile Street) which is one of the main boulevards only for pedestrians.
Calle Chile is real nice as it's big and wide and there are no cars. Since this is old town the streets were certainly not set up for automobiles. The sidewalks are very narrow in many spots. The entire historic area is a labyrinth of one way streets.
We also wondered up to one of the main plazas, Plaza de San Fransisco with the historic cathedral San Fransisco looking out on the open area. Unfortunately the plaza was partially under renovation, but there were still people there including a vendor selling fresh watermelon! Now let's do what I do best, wander around! Let's go!
