Hey there my Steemit friends. Here we are on the most popular beach on the Island of San Cristobal Galapagos. It's not only popular with the locals and the tourists; it's very popular with the sea lions too! Here you can see man and animal laying around on the beach and swimming together!
The reason this beach is so popular is because it's it right in the main town of Puerto Baquerizo; so it's walking distance for everyone. The town is very small with less than 10,000 residents. Along side of the beach they have some stands selling food. The beach itself is quite small. If you've ever been to something like Miami Beach, this would be almost the complete opposite.
The last photo is of a sign warning people not to touch the Poisons Apple Tree. The sap burns and gives a nasty rash and the fruit will make you violently ill; yet there is the tree right on the most popular beach on the island! In fact this is the only place I saw this tree during my ten day trip to the Galapagos.
The sun was going down on my second visit to this beach so some of the photos are not so clear, nor the video. But I just wanted to post them anyway so you can get an idea of what this beach is like. The beach gets a bit busier in the evenings for both seal lions and people; as there is a great sunset to watch from this beach. I suppose the sea lions enjoy a nice sunset too! Now let's have a look at Playa Mann on the Island of San Cristobal Galapagos!
