Happy, Sublime and Beautiful Sunday!

Err, for us in this part of the world (UAE) it is past mid-day already. While it is still an off day for most, Sunday is the first day of our work week. So we need to drag ourselves out of bed and work our bums off. :D

It's been a laid back Sunday for me so far. The office is unusually quiet. So while it is still possible, here goes my first #sublimesunday post. Just because...

The past week, I made a realization. A very late one...

I REALLY NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!

I've come to a point where I cannot just seem to carry myself anymore. I cannot stand up from sitting on the floor as quickly as before....dresses look ugly no matter how nice they seem on the mannequin. My belly protrudes and my kids (even the 2 year old) call me "FAT". huhhhhh!!!!

My solution...

I try to become more active, do 30 minutes of zumba dance 5 days a week. And take note of this: NO RICE. I feel, more than anything else, food is the culprit. White rice specifically. So for 3 days now, I have not eaten rice. I try to replace it with other carbs/protein sources. Let me show you my meal today:

At the left, you'll find my lunch - grilled chicken breast and buckwheat. At the right is my snacks - hard boiled egg, iceberg lettuce, orange slices, raisins and prunes topped with granola. For dinner, I guess I will just sleep. LOL.

Other days I try to make a protein shake. I really hope to sustain this kind of diet. If you have any suggestions, please drop them in the comments below. I do not really want to lose weight drastically nor do I want to starve myself. LOL. I dare not step on the scale, but I am guessing I am 62kgs now. I hope to lose 6kgs at least. 😜
