I told you in my previous ulog about my blue Monday with showers of water pouring from my ceiling.
Everything's been calm on the home front since that horrid geyser burst, and life here at Lily's Cottage has returned to a calm with the current guests all settled in.
Tuesday and Wednesday was busy; one of the things we do most days when running a bnb, is doing quotes, either online or via email. The percentage conversion is low in the off season as many guests shop around, so when we get a booking conversion it feels like you've hit the jackpot, which is what happened yesterday with 50% of next month being booked by a new batch of students and some business guests, so that was great :)
I also made my sandwich for SteemitSandwichContest, and woke up this morning to a surprise curie upvote, felt truly blessed!
So today we gave ourselves the day off and drove up to Waterfall, a beautiful little village on the upper Highway, to see our friends @artywink & her sculptor husband Peter and guess who we bumped into?
It was none other than president Donald Trump, right there in the artist's home. He surprisingly did not utter a word, most unlike him, just stood absolutely still with his shock of hair and arm waving ;)
Peter did a real good job with this little sculpture, and I hope my good friend @artywink will tell us the story and the inspiration behind this work of art.
Nothing more exciting happened this week.
I do hope to read your #ulog here one of these days, an awesome way to diarise your daily life.
Check out this post which explains the #ulog movement.
Quoted from that post:
Important Notes in Making Ulogs
- The "U" in "Ulogs" represents "YOU."
- Creating a Ulog is EASY. Becoming A Ulogger Is Free.
- Ulogs removes barriers to entry. Anyone can be a Ulogger.
- Remember to please add #ulog, to start your ULOG title.

- Please help make it easy for us by keeping it one #ulog a day and may it only be #ulogs about the real YOU.
