Tutorial: How to create a MyEtherWallet Ethereum Wallet

Introduction

Hi Anidel here with another simple tutorial. Today I am going to discuss how to create a MyEtherWallet. I will try to keep the tutorial as simple and as short as possible. If you have any question please do not hesitate to post your question in the comment section.

Requirements

  1. Internet connection
  2. Web brower
  3. Printer (optional)

Procedure

Step 1 Creation of Keystore File

The first thing we have to do is to create the Keystore File (JSON File). To do this we need to go to the website here. Enter the desired password for the wallet to be created, then click on the "Create New Wallet" button.

Upon clicking the "Create New Wallet" it will bring you to the "Keystore File" download page. All you have to do here is press the "Download Keystore File (UTC/JSON)" button.

This will download the newly generated Keystore File. Navigate to the Keystore File by accessing the download folder. Save the Keystore File somewhere safe and secure. After saving the Keystore File click on the "I understand. Continue." button.

Clicking the"I understand. Continue." button will bring you to the "Private key" page. Where the private key of the newly generated wallet is shown as well the option to Print a paper wallet.

If you choose to Create the paper wallet it will generate a QR card that indicates your wallets information.

If you did not apt to print a paper wallet the "Save your address" button will bring you to the following page bellow. In this page we select to load the "Keystore file" that we created then unlock it.

upon unlocking this will bring us to the main dashboard of you MyEtherWallet Ethereum Wallet.
