"Utopian Behavior Analysis" : "A Weekly Report of the Third Week of December" | A Data Comparison to its Previous Week

How did the Second Week of December behave for Utopian?

We have another sets of interesting data and numbers as we've seen how the Steemit is growing week by week! I was quite amazed by the growth on the 3rd week of December compared to its 2nd week and its amazing to share this amazing stuff and analysis to you, gents.

Utopian-io is by far one of the best initiatives Steemit has created. In fact, it was never a question how valuable it is to the Steemit community. The way the rewards were distributed to deserving contributors are amazing to see and a lot are getting their Steemit success by contributing to the platform. It is indeed awesome.

So with this analysis, we will be gathering the data with the posts with #utopian-io as part of their tag and be able to compare it with the previous week of data (December 8-14). With that we will be able to witness the trend and make some forecasts and predictions for the next possible week.

Details of the Analysis

  • Data were extracted using @arcange's Steem SQL at December 29, 2017 at 9:21 a.m. (UTC +8).
  • The analysis features the posts, votes, payouts, and comments (December 14 - 21) of #utopian-io posts and make some future predictions and analysis based on the trend of the data.
  • We will also be able to compute and tabulate how much increase/decrease in percentage it made.
  • Table and Pie Graph Presentations will also be included for a better understanding of the analysis.

Limits and Exclusions

  • To make the post more accurate, we are excluding the posts of elear and utopian-io on this analysis for an obvious reason.

These are the consolidated Data happened in December 8 - 14 and December 15 - 21.

The data that I will be presenting are the total number of posts generated, total number of upvotes made, and total number of comments made by contributors/authors with #utopian-io as part of their tags. We will also be able to determine their comparison and be able to compute the growth or decrease of numbers of the two weeks.

The Trend is Increasing so much!

Weekly Total Posts

A 65.85% increase on posts with #utopian-io as part of their tag has been seen! As what I've predicted on my last week of analysis (Coz I am only doing utopian contribution now 1 per week), it has pretty grown much. We can also be able to see that on the bar graph presented below :

Weekly Total Votes

The third week of December's total votes is doing well too which literally means a big rewards has been allocated to utopian contributors. What's amazing to see is that the total votes increase corresponds to an increase on Utopian payouts also.

We will be able to witness that on the bar graph to see their difference :

A 53.15% increase of Total votes with #utopian-io as part of their tags

Total Payout Generated

With the 53.15% increase of total votes in utopian-io contributions/posts, an amazing 110.58% increase of the total payouts generated on the third week than the second week! This literally means the reward distribution is pretty much decent.

Take a look at the bar graph :

Weekly Total Comments

Another increase in post engagements has happened in Utopian. All of the weekly statistics have seen a positive! take a look at the bar graph to witness the difference :

My Analysis, Overview and Predictions

Let's talk about the total payout generated. Its main reason was the sudden price pump of Steem which increased the total payout generated. Technically, the post payout on our posts varies on the market price of Steem in the market. Which basically the main reason why our upvote value has increased. Steempower's post value is determine by Steem's Market price.

Total votes and comments seems to be proportional because the number of posts made with #utopian-io as part of their tags has significantly increased also, which is also a big factor why the Total payout literally grown big.

The analysis may strongly mean that the utopian-io platform is again doing extreme in terms of rewarding contributors to the platform. Utopian has been rewarding authors with valuable contributions to the initiative, which attracts alot of coders and developers and contributors from the outside world.

Predictions

Based on the data tabulated above, there has been a significant increase on number of posts, votes, comments, and total payouts generated on posts with #utopian-io as their tag. Here are my predictions :

  • Total Posts :

It will increase significantly roughly at 3,500 contributions. With the new sets of Steemians joining, I believe the significant increase has will be enough to contribute 3,500 contributions. Plus, with the price pump of SBD and Steem, I do believe this inspired more users to contribute in Utopian-io.

  • Total Votes :

Votes are generally given when posts are worthy to deserve rewards and since Utopian contributions are good posts for open source contributions, I believe there will also be a significant increase on the number of votes generated, I see a 70,000-75,000 number of votes casted on Utopian contributions.

  • Total Payout Generated

Since Steem's value has significantly decreased from $3.70 per Steem to current standing of $2.70 as of this moment (approx), total payout generated will tend to decrease. Thus, I assume it will decrease by 20% so around $30,000-$32,000 total payout will be generated. One noticeable effect will be the decrease of upvote value of utopian bot.

  • Total Comments

Comment engagements will likely also be able to rise as the number of posts increase. I have a big feeling it will jump at extra 15% than what the total comments on the third week.

You can also see the previous Weekly analysis prior to this contribution. Please take a look at it :
