Project Details

Hello everyone,

as I have already mentioned in the past, I have been on a new Steemit mission since @utopian-io & @davinci.witness launched the Translation Category, giving us the opportunity to offer our services and provide quality translations for Open Source projects. In my previous post I started working on my second project which is FreeCAD, also known as an Open Source AutoCAD competitor. FreeCAD runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and supports various types of open file formats. For more information about FreeCAD you can visit my previous contribution.

As explained previously, FreeCAD can be a great tool for Engineers. Created by utilizing content from all significant Open Source libraries in the field of Computational Science, it can be used by other programs as a library as well. This is one of the primary reasons why FreeCAD can be one great asset for hobbyists, amateurs and professionals.

Contribution Specifications

  • Translation Overview

This is the second part of a very demanding project. That is mainly due to the fact that it contains several technical terms. Morevoer, FreeCAD is actually a pretty large project that is comprised of approximately 32000 words, which actually means that this is going to take some time. I will be translating from 800 to 1200 words in each part, making sure to conclude at least three parts every seven days since I have decided to increase my productivity so that his project is finished in time. My translation is now 6% complete and is subject to @ruth-girl's proof-reading.

  • Languages

The current project is being translated from English to Greek.

  • Word Count

According to my estimations, in this part I translated 1022words (1042 as demonstrated on Crowdin, minus 2% of those as untranslated words).
