Hello everyone,
as mentioned in my previous contribution, I have been on a new Steemit mission since @utopian-io & @davinci.witness launched the Translation Category, giving us the opportunity to offer our services and help in the translation of various Open Source projects. As explained previously, FreeCAD is my second project. FreeCAD is an Open Source AutoCAD competitor that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and supports various types of open file formats.
FreeCAD can be a really useful asset that comes with unique advantages. This is obviously an Open Source project, however what makes FreeCAD special is the fact that it was developed with the utilization of content from all significant Open Source libraries in the field of Computational Science. This is one of its key characteristics and undoubtedly the most significant advantage over its competition. And that is because too many bright minds around the world can keep doing research and improving all modules of this software simultaneously. Contribution Specifications
- Translation Overview
This is the fifth part of a very demanding project, as explained in my previous contributions. It is worth noting that FreeCAD is a large project that consists of roughly 32,000 words. I will be translating from 1,000+ to 1,200+ words in each part, making sure to conclude at least two to three parts every seven days so that this project is finished in time. My translation is now 20% complete and subject to @ruth-girl's proof-reading.
- Languages
The current project is being translated from English to Greek.
- Word Count
According to Crowdin, in this part I translated 1,230 words (1,245 as demonstrated on Crowdin, minus approximately 1% of those as untranslated words). Around 238 words were corrected from previously submitted translations in the period of time demonstrated in the screenshots below.
