People in this platform have their reasons for being here. If you're like me, you are here because you believe that Steem is on its way to the moon and you wouldn't want to miss it for anything. I brought my wife into this platform days after my account was approved. She too believes in the power of Steem and every month, we set a portion of our savings to buy Steem. My wife and I have never withdrawn anything from our payouts. We use our SBD rewards to buy Steem too. But my wife is always nervous whenever she makes the transaction. She's always worried about making mistakes and screwing it up and losing our money in trying to buy Steem. She has fat fingers you see, and we've been penalized for that several times; I've come to understand her distorted text messages but airline companies aren't so forgiving. So when she found out that she can actually choose to receive her payouts in Steem Power, she was ecstatic! She was under the impression that she didn't have to go through buying Steem and sending SBDs to accounts with names she could easily mispell. Of course, that wasn't the case.Only posted content can be put on 100% Power Ups. Comments that were upvoted and given monetary value are rewarded in form of SP and SBD still.
Right now, she gets Rewards in the form of SBD because of her comments , as seen in the screenshot below.
I don't know if they have a reason why they didn't give the 100% Power Up Option for the comments but I think it would be very useful to people who see Steemit as a long-term investment. People who have NO plans of withdrawing their SBDs, people who would only use those SBDs to buy Steem so they can power up.
Should the option be made available, I'm sure my wife would be the first one to use it. I imagine that instead of seeing this
we'd see this.
So how do we get to that? Easy. Just add the option to Power Up 100% below the comment box that appears when Steemit users click on 'Reply'. Right now, this is what you'll see when you click on 'Reply'
It will look like this with the option made available.
