Sunday, the perfect day to tuck yourself in your warm bed and sleep until afternoon but not for me; woke up at 5.30am just to get ready and head out for some Tōge session with my friend to test out my tuned suspension by PRS. (Click here to read about the PRS Suspension)
Every Tōge session I participate, the first thing every morning I do is to check the tyre pressure ensure is optimal level in order to maximise the tyre grip later on and of course the fuel level too, will be accelerating a lot on uphill. Today is an exception, I still have a few bars left of fuel so I decided to refill my fuel tank on Genting Sempah Petronas Station later.
I arrived 6.45am on our usually meet up point, which we call it as the Starting Grid; my friend still on his way. I took some picture of my car while waiting for my friend's arrival.
Honda City, typical family sedan 😅 not some fancy performance car.
Today Tōge Route - 68 (Starting Grid), Genting Sempah (Checkpoint), Bentong (Breakfast)
My friend reached at 7am, and we proceed to start the session with him leading on as usual. Today is such a nice weather to Tōge, cloudy with no sign of the sun and cold dense air too (Good for the air intake of the engine). We stop half way while on the route to the checkpoint to take some fresh air and pictures of course.
Nice scenery for some photo shooting
The ways on the mountain pass and the art of driving a slow car fast credited to my friend
Greenery and fresh cold air
We arrive Bentong around 8am, lots of people and cars flooding at the town looking for car parks. Please do not double park your car beside the roads, the chances of getting a fine (saman) is high here even on a Sunday, few of my friend actually got it on our last visit. We parked our car on a private empty space and walk over to the food court for our breakfast.
Crossing a bridge to reach the food court on the left, cloudy nice weather
Ordered myself a Pan Mee (板面) and Teh Peng (Sweetend Iced Milk Tea) for total of RM 7
After breakfast, we leave Bentong town around 9.25am and reach back Starting Grid around 10.15am, ending today's Tōge session. Overall, we are satisfied with PRS tuned suspension, whacking corner harder, faster and more confidence.
Here's a video on our Tōge trip, I've shorten the video to 14mins 48second from an hour+ video. (I know nobody wants watch an hour long video of road trip, give me some feedback and suggestion so I can improve more on my video editing skill to make it more interesting)
Bonus - I reach back my condominium car park and realise that I didn't took out the tray of egg 🥚 that I bought last night on my grocery 🤦🏻♂️ luckily is still perfectly intact and not shattered from all the left right shaking motion of the car just now 🤣
Yes, I wear gloves during driving mainly because I have sweaty palms and gives me more grip on the steering (Just in case you wondered)
