What is included in this new update?
The latest release is not a major one,but brought some bug fixes and fixed some stability issues in the coding of the p2p network.
There has also been a fairly easy guide published by the @steemitdev team for exchanges to setup exchange nodes:
This will hopefully lead to better adoption of steemit by having it available on even more exchanges.
Witness server status:
After starting off as a witness,I ran in to a few bugs and minor mistakes that led to my very first block being missed earlier this week.(x)
BUT luckily after using this guide and retracing my steps of installation,I found the issue and we are up and kicking again!For the past few days the server is managing to witness around 1-2 Blocks per day with no issue what so ever.
The update to steemd 0.19.2 was pretty easy thanks to @someguy123 with his latest update to the Steem-in-a-box setup,which I invite you to use if you wish to become a witness yourself.
I am really excited to be part of the steemit community,but I am even more excited about a big update to the steemit User Interface and official steemit mobile app coming soon,which will be a major improvement for the community and the way users experience the platform:
