Why is it important to empower women in developing countries ?

On a small scale, if you look at how this system works alongside our charity school @SchoolForSDG4, we can see the importance of empowering women.

We provide training for women (with the help, right now, of the money we fundraise on Steemit to buy supplies) to learn to make handiwork items. They can sell these items to have income for their family. As this gets going, it means that their children do not need to work.

When children need to work in the market (to earn very little… around $2 USD per day), they are unable to attend school. While they need to work to help the family meet basic needs (like food), they are then unable to get an education… the cycle of poverty continues. Sometimes families know the importance of education, but still need their children to earn money because basic needs come first.

Our training class on 5th March 2018

One way to break free from this cycle and help the community as a whole is to empower women. Providing them with training empowers them to earn money for their family, be able to send their kids to our charity school @SchoolForSDG4, and keep the kids in school so that they can contribute in other ways when they grow up.

Our focus is on sustainable development, and we are proud of the work we have done so far! Let’s keep it going together. Thank you for your support!

The above part of the article was written by @jessicakluthe . It was a kind help from her. Actually, everyone has something to offer to change the world and this is a proof of it.

The Women Empowerment is a social venture which aim is to make these women skilled and give them a job opportunity without our business. We are making clothes and products small scale and we will pay to our workers better wages. Till now, the project couldn't sell a good number of products since 7 January 2017. We will make handicraft and customize clothes near future and will open a shop when we will feel confident enough.
