How better provide the right incentive to the community to cooperate and co-produce quality content than to bring together a pool of mindful supporters to encourage their efforts, amazing work and committement of the community members with the goal to empower the contributors to perform?
After a moment of obeservation, requirements analysis posting regularly community proposals to develop more healthy participatory curation with the most active members of the com-lab, @lizanomadsoul, @manncpt and me decided to start curating together. With the help of this tool we found a way to increase our cooperative potential of the network's accounts. What is a curation trail?
A curation trail, is an aggregation system for trusting supporters who are willing to automatize the vote of their account by following the patterns of votes of a trusted person or entity.
It means, on the #steem #blockchain you can via a third-party tool automatize your vote or even schedule posts. By simply following the curation trail of an account you are trusting your vote goes to great content. The account you are following will be upvoted automatically depending on your setting. You can define the weight power or at a certain ratio.
Why to follow curations trails?
Why to follow with your account(s) one or several of curation trails? Most of us are not using their steem power by upvoting as it can take time while most of us are already #busy with a lot of offline activities, specially during such warm summer. If you want to make a good use of your power on the platform, here a way to:
- power the active community of contributors
- encourage social and quality committement
- support our experienced curators
How to be part of the com-lab curation trail?
First, you'll need an account on #steemauto, for that, go on http://steemauto.com, you'll see it is very simple and I really loved the number of warning messages to prevent the new users to make anything wrong via their trusted services.

Please check every time you see the steem connect in the adress bar of your browser if it is steemconnect.com which is the only original domain for connecting to such third party app in a secure way.
You'll need to accept to use your posting key to enble the scheduling of posts.
Then you'll be redirected to your dashboard.
Go on curation trail:
Click on create/edit your curation trail to explain to everyone what your curation trail is about.
Create your curation trail
You'll need to create your #curation trail in order to invite others to follow it.
Then, go on curation trail:
Add my username: @jnmarteau (@lizanomadsoul or @manncpt) on the trial name field, click on search, you'll find the account, trail and description, it should look like this:
Click on follow, then on setting:
You can there edit the voting weight, then click on save setting. @globalschool will be voting at 100% or at scale everytime my account will be voting, so it means the article getting my vote will also get automatically the vote of @globalschool. While when @lizanomadsoul will vote, the article she selected will be voted automatically voted by @manncpt, @jnmarteau (me) and @globalschool.

While I'll do my best to setup as fast as possible my trail to be followed by @ccommons.art, @workshops, @hackathons, @innovations, @solidarity, @blocktv, @blocklaw, @blockdev, @neomad, @generationeuropa, @inyoursteem, @covermaker, @ideamachine and all the other community accounts setup by the com-lab, I'am glad to announce already that @globalschool are now following the trail of @creative-commons initiated by @shortcut.
